Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The Tempest

Went to see a preview of the new production of The Tempest at the Classic Stage Company on E. 13th st. in NYC yesterday, with the great Mandy Patinkin. We like the 41 year-old CSC so much that we have become supporters, and it's always good to see Mandy. However much presence he has, he had a little trouble bringing the sorcerer Prospero to life, in my humble opinion. Ariel is perfect.

 Here's the firehouse down the street. My crappy camera cannot pick up that the image painted on the door is a flaming WTC with an eagle, or that the banner above welcomes a member of the station home from his tour in Afghanistan. Way past time for a new mini-camera.
