We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Maggie's Farm has helped me to break free the unnecessary yoke of so many other extraneous web sites while simultaneously improving the quality of my news and information intake. I have been learning to budget time to visit MF among my many other duties of the day, like managing to both mow the lawn and paint the house in between the frequent rainfalls.
The daily links are particularly insidious. I start clicking on them, and next thing I know half the morning is gone. A lovely variety of places to be sent! I never know what I'll see next.
Me too, Skook --when the storms start blowing, i have to really be careful with this kaleidoscopic site --i'll sit right here reading while i float out to sea.
Missed ya Buddy. I was off in the wilds of north Africa on a logistics job. 135 in the shade, etc. blah, blah. Now that I'm back, the missus has a list for me that is seventeen miles long. Not much surfin' time, in other words.
