Amazing that so many people are upset about oil and drilling in ANWR when no one ever complained about uranium mining in the Grand Canyon. Have to love our backwards look at things, and how we have so many that think that government is the solution... to what we are still trying to figure out. Actually, if done right, there is no huge cost to a secure energy future beyond encouraging things in the way they are already going and ending subsidies, mandates, and a whole host of wrong-headed ideas that sees food going to fuel vehicles. Of course heading on that road means that we look to that future and put up some markers and encourage folks to head towards them.

Worked for the aircraft industry back in the 1910's and 20's. Take any decade of the aircraft industry and compare it to any decade of the space industry and you will see the difference between advancement in technology. Too bad we have people who want plans and don't do policy. We could use someone who wants to be an Executive, not a micromanager....
