Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Meta, you cease to amaze me. I would have thought you would have some of those low lifes you pick up in the airport to do that type of work for you. You are the best!! I can see you now, riding your tractor, on speed, wearing a spaghetti thin bikini, with those stilettos you wear. Now that is avant garde. You big lonely lolita. : ) ciao bella!!!

Luther I miss you!! I miss your wisdom, and all the fine posts you offer. I believe my last words to you were "that you can shepard me any time" Well I need some sheparding, its real lonely out here with all these sheep.I have my staff in one hand, and in my other hand I have a picture of my beloved Meta. I’m not particularly susceptible to intimidation of any sort. I’m also not interested in telling anyone how to live their life or run their blog. But when I see injustice I have to say something.

I suggest you speak with Chris and/or Dr. Mercury. Each of them were sent information that firmly establishes Meta’s identity. I can understand their not saying anything as neither made the comment that demeaned and effectively destroyed Meta’s reputation as an individual in her own right. That such damage has occurred is in evidence on this very comment thread.

The whole affair can be ended with a simple retraction and apology. You can be a hard-ass or you can do the right thing for Meta and the commenters of Maggie’s Farm.

If I was wrong about Meta, I most humbly apologize. Our blogmeister thought it was an alias, and I trust his judgement, or, in this case, it appears, his best guess.

He is a very good guy, and only wants to watch out for us.

You would libel me on a 'best guess' and when challenged repeatedly still not check your sources for verification? I have been in touch with Chris and Dr. Mercury and offered salient proof that I am who I am. And here you continue to use the word 'IF'? If Chris is the good guy you say, and I have reason to believe he is, he will give you proof. All you need do is ask.

I expect an apology to me and complete exoneration, BD.
