Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Do tomatoes dream of electric bumblebees?
Outside in the yard poking around the plants for photo ops yesterday, we stumbled upon early indications of a burgeoning bumper crop of what cooks call vegetables but botanists call true berries, garden variety tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum*), AKA love apples.

I, Jappy, King of Sicily, and my crazy Russian friend Ivan have decided to lead a peasant frontal charge of the king's castles. In the hopes of breaking the log jam between the H-man and the kings. I will be rding my donkey named Teddy with my pitch fork in one hand and my flag that states "Hope and Change for Maggie's Farm" Ivan will be riding his elephant named Dumbo. I told him he could walk with me but he has this vision of Hanibal crossing the Alps. I don't know, he is kinda weird. Results for the conflict coming, will be posted later today or first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you for you support all peasants at Maggie's Farm. Pray for our victory!

I'm packing up and moving to Wyoming. I actually had a job opportunity at Jackson Hole years ago, but after further investigation realized I couldn't afford to live there. Big arts community and people moving from left coast had put prices out of my range. I would of traded down from a 2400 sq ft house with 16 acres in NY to an outhouse in Jackson Hole and broke even.

The problem with global warming isn't the lack of supporting evidence, but that nobody is using any equations from actual physics.

It's all model building.

People who do model building are on what is known as a management track in research organizations.

Show me the Navier Stokes equations in use and I might look at it again.

If you don't use physics equations, it's not physics.
