Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

On the Obama Team

Why is the press exempt from McCain-Feingold, when they are so obviously working for the Obama team? Two examples of MSM lying - not spinning, flat-out lying - this week:

The WaPo

The NYT

I guess I have to calm down and get used to this, or I will give myself a stroke.

Obama, Oblamea. Oh how I am going insane. Bird Dog never mind about the stroke start freshening up on the flash cards, I'll see you in the local sanitarium thats where I am headed. At least I have Meta's picture to take with me. She gave it to me first! Buddy and Luther. once you two horn balls get your hands on it I'll never see it again. : )

It is getting scary out there. I'm not one of those who sees everything as a sign of the end times, but there seems to be a pattern developing. Obama is a faux messianic character, who is going to end all the worlds problems. The great peacemaker who just has to speak and all our enemies wiil become friends. He does have an other worldly power over people. And he is the Prince of the airwaves, above all criticism. I never truely felt complete hate for anyone, but Chris Matthews is pushing my envelope. That guy needs a good smacking around. He has a bad case of agape and eros love for Obama.

The more Hussein and team talk the better.

It just provides more evidence that they are liars and lousy liars, at that.

Watching Hussein claim he was politically attacked is fun.

If the shoe fits, put it on dimwit, Hussein.

At one point he said, Bush and McCain are just as guilty as we are, then tried to back peddle but the admission of guilt was already said.

He admitted to being guilty of appeasing terrorists but the allegation that the good guys are just as guilty is obviously a lie.

Hussein is a lousy liar and so is his team, lousy.

Let'm talk and talk and write.

The truth is evident and never harmed by lies.

Their lies contrast with the facts and help manifest the truth.

Relax, Habu. As a better poet than I once said, ...give thanks "that no life lives forever, that dead men rise up never, that even the weariest river, winds somewhere safe to sea." Think that was Algernon Charles Swinburne, who was somewhat of a wuss in many ways.

I won't be sad to say goodbye to Teddy. O. J. was not the first to get away with murder. Our society sometimes elects murderers to high office. And elects them, and elects them, and elects them.

Allow me to be the sexist warrior I know I am....in PC I'm just a pig, but also allow me to celebrate the demise or terrible ill health of a man, Ted Kennedy, who has for decades been one of the truly asshole legislators we've had in my lifetime.

His life may be holy to him and to the irredeemably forgiving nature of some others but to me his hopefully soon death will be a joyous occasion.

If you have never faced a man who would kill you had you not killed him first it is impossible to understand this, I understand. But the entire Kennedy clan , from his Nazi-Hitler loving father to JFK, the sell out artist of the Bay of Pigs the Kennedy's are not MY countrymen but my enemies.

So I will celebrate his pain and demise and face my fate when time and chance call me to answer for my life.

The picture I paint would appear to many as one of a horrendous person but allow me to tell you some good. Just yesterday while going to the market I happened to see a shiny red bubba truck (big wheels, nine feet off the ground etc) parked in a handicapped zone. Shortly a man appeared and asked me what I was doing since I was looking all over his truck.
" Are you handicapped", I asked
"Well I was just inside for a minute"
"So you're not handicapped?
"No, but who the hell are you" he asked
" I'm the guy who's calling the police" as I stepped behind his truck to prevent him from leaving.

The cops came and delivered him a $250 ticket. He wasn't happy..too bad.

Later in the market an elderly woman came up to me and said.
"Thank you, I saw what you did with that fella and it was good to see someone do that"

" Well, I have a sister who actually needs one of those spots and people like that guy always say the same thing..I was only inside for a minute. And I always say , "yeah and in that minute should a handicapped person drive by you've taken their spot, illegally"

The handicapped can't defend themselves and, in my world it is my responsibility to keep the odds in their favor, so I do. I'm not looking for any thanks, it's what I do, but I also know the assholes of the world and Ted Kennedy is one of them. I have zero empathy for him.

haha, pretty much. my "hillary-friendly" work environment has demanded i get used to it, or at least keep my mouth shut.
