Political Euthanasia

Actually, it's been over for quite a while. Via Drudge now: Superdelegates refusing to meet with Mrs. Clinton.

Truth be told, she'd be tougher against McCain. But it's up to the Dems, and they don't like her. As some wag noted somewhere re the Kentucky Derby, "The filly comes in second and is euthanized; Big Brown wins."

WASHINGTON – Sen. John McCain, the de facto Republican presidential nominee, announced today he will attend the national convention of La Raza, a radical Hispanic lobby tied to the movement to reconquer the Southwestern U.S.

(this is it for McCain. He has given me the middle finger for the last time. I am officially not voting for him. I gave him some weeks to figure out just who he wants to have supporting him- he's chosen. Maybe his illegal friends can get him in, I will not take part)

Certainly McCain vs Obama is more of a contrast than McCain vs Clinton.

I'm not sure we can bury the corpse yet but it's not looking good for Hillary. However, I continue to have one nagging thought. The FBI files. If she has them and plans to go all the way to the convention then no doubt she'll use them. They've probably already been deployed in her attempt to seat the Florida and Mich delegates.

Should she be successful doing that then she might rise from the political sarcophagus being prepared for her. And one should never forget...you only get one chance to kill the king.

Phil, as a president is supposed to be a national and not a tribal leader, it sounds like you are looking for a rationale not to vote for McCain. I suggest you contemplate the elections in all other countries in the world and the unsatisfactory nature of everyone who has a chance of winning in any nation. Would you sit all of them out? What elections have risen to your standard? I don't recall many in my lifetime, national or local.

You are correct. Nobody rises to my expectations. Guess I had better lower my aim? No way am I going to change my mind about La Raza, the border, the NAU, English as a second language, tuberculosis, hepatitis, dengue fever, chagas, and even leprosy.

You see- it's very simple. With no USA, what difference does it make who the president is? If you don't think this invasion is serious, then you must have blinders on. So go ahead, support the so-called republican out of fear. I have no such fear of my enemies- not enough to flush my country, Constitution, and personal morals down the crapper.

A man is only as good as his word. My vote is my word. Grow a friggin spine already and be outraged by this obvious fake named John McCain. Rail against the coming darkness, go not quietly into the abyss. (to paraphrase)

Hillbillary is no 8 belles and Hussein is no winner.

Big Brown the Kentucky Derby winner looks real good for the Preakness Crown.

Hussein will be beat down like a mad dog in November, should the Dems decide to disenfranchise two states and nominate a a Muslim.

I'm not a fan of either Hillary or Obama, I hope they cut each other's eyes out at the convention. But let me see if I have this right. Obama has more votes and more delegates than Hillary going into the convention. But the super delegates pick the nominee. Who elected these assholes? So by voting in a democratic primary, your vote doesn't count. Is that the right conclusion?

Come on Rufus... it is a matter of degree as to crazy. No matter the internal damage he may do... in my opinion it is the external threats that are most important to the country at this moment in time. In that case I would prefer batsh*t crazy over... well, let's talk.

No jappy, the voters in the primaries had a chance to express their clear preference and in the end did not do so. Now it is the responsibility of the superdelegates to express their preference, and it is the sum total of both that will determine the party's nominee. The system, no matter how Rube Goldberg it seems, is working in the way and in accordance with the rules that everyone acknowledged before this Long Trail of tears began.
