Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Mike S. Adams

We have somehow failed to pay enough attention to blogger/columnist Mike Adams who writes at Town Hall. We will correct that oversight forthwith.

I read his bio. He sounds like a Maggie's Farm sort of guy, so we are putting him on our blogroll.

We are also adding Real Clear Markets  which is a good resource with the same handy format as Real Clear Politics.

I've been reading and enjoying Mike for quite a while now. He's been a thorn in the side of the UNC at Wilmingtons PC establishment. Considering his love of guns, pissing off liberals, hunting, cigars, and God, not in that order, I would have to agree that Mike is a Maggie's sort of guy.

Hey... that's a nice tractor. A working tractor from the looks it. Those showroom quality ones can be a little boring after a while. Give me some well used paint, a little mud and dirt, some experience... yep.

I used to read him but eventually felt that he had run out of material. I mean, it's nice to tweak academia early and often, but reading about it has diminishing returns after a while. I give it a year.

Trouble is, Townhall spams you when they get your email address.

Even though I like to read Thomas Sowel and several others, I dislike spam, and subscribe pretty rigoursly to the Boulder Pledge.

Same here Larry... I've requested three times to be taken off their email list... I'm still waiting.

It's sorta like having to listen to the commercials for Prager, Hewitt etc... gold, insurance, mortgages, get rich quick schemes. Kinda degrades their message in a way, at least for me.
