Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Tuesday, April 8. 2008Tues. Morning LinksMore on global cooling. But of course it has nothing to do with "climate change." Huh? Isn't cooling "change"? Paul Mirengoff for 2nd VP Smallest girl in the world. Happy little kid. American Indians were Arabs, claims US textbook. Probably Palestinians, don't you think? Copied this comment from smalldeadanimals yesterday NJ. Said it was a snip from the Montreal Gazette. Have not seen reports about this anywhere else. Algore is training his minions to do his bidding in the war against glowball warming. I am enlisting for the opposite side as I am very much in favor of warming. Hard to believe that so many Northerners can be convinced it is a bad thing. And that the governments, led by Algore, will fix the climate by changing it back. hahaha. What a scwewy world.
"The former vice-president of the United States received a standing ovation as he walked into a crowded ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Hotel around 8 a.m. The 220 taking tutelage from Gore come from all parts of Canada. There was simultaneous translation offered to francophones who don't understand English. The training sessions, from which media were excluded, are said to stress the importance of using a slide show to help build an argument in favour of the idea of carbon taxes. Gore called Quebec "the natural place" to hold his seminars at a private gathering Friday night, calling the province "the environmental conscience of Canada." Quebec became the first province in Canada to levy a carbon tax last October. After making its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006, An Inconvenient Truth has become one of the most influential documentaries of the modern media age. Gore, argues in the movie that global warming isn't just a political issue, it's a moral issue. Gore said nations need to put "an economic cost" on global warming through carbon taxes in order to deal with the problem of global warming most effectively. The 220 people are expected to go home and start presenting the adapted slide show in their own communities. There are another 1,000 slide show presenters in the U.S., and 800 others elsewhere in the world. The 2,000 are all part of the Gore-inspired Climate Project, based in Nashville, Tennessee, Gore's home state." And this comment is copied from sda too... MR. oz from Canada asks "Is it the truth that Mr. al gore's electric bills are around twentytwo {22000.00} thousand dollars a month?" The Tennessee Center for Policy Research has said that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president's 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours. One of Gore's media stooges tried to deflect the issue by saying that Gore “purchase offsets for their carbon emissions to bring their carbon footprint down to zero.” But that claim is crap. Gore doesn’t purchase carbon offsets out of his own pocket and the actual economic cost, if any, to him is unknown. The actual offset purchaser is a London-based investment firm, Generation Investment Management (GIM), that AL GORE CO-FOUNDED with former Goldman Sachs executive David Blood and others in 2004. Thanks NJ. Not sure about the info. Must be double checked. Blood and Gore seems almost too good to be true.
Have noticed in the press that when a Republican or conservative mentions Canada he will be excoriated for interfering in outside affairs. The Left, however, are free to trade. Algore and Bill Clinton and James Carville "interfere" and charge big money for it too. Do not believe the Greens have ever elected anybody to a federal office in NA but they are given (have taken) a large political role. Think we can thank the UN and the EU for that. Might even accept their elitism if they were not proven so very wrong, so many times. Guess it is an issue of leadership or maybe a lack thereof. Speaking of leadership, heard a snippet of Jon Cary speaking about an Iraq withdrawal. Was a disconcerting deja vu. Winter Soldier all over again. When do we get to the part about what happened after the US withdrew from Vietnam? Think that with Jon Cary and his current crew, that would be never. Concerning Arabs in US history -- they did indeed play a huge part which everyone overlooks for PC reasons: it was mostly Arab traders who sold the Africans into slavery. We rightly damn the white traders who carried slaves to America and the Caribbean, but forget that the poor bastards were already slaves when the whites bought them - thanks to the Arabs who dragged them from their homes and who thus did indeed make their mark on the New World.
Non-Arab Muslims were said to have explored the Mississippi River in early 1300's, who called the land America.
They also were to have explored the lands North of what is known as Gulf of Mexico and called it Khalifornia. Remember, Muhammad claimed the whole of the earth in the name of his devil-god. Everyone not Muslim is tresspassing and will have to pay restitution. Typical white folks, like Hussein's grammy will have to adjust and accomodate. I can remember growing up as a kid in the northern Rockies listening to the Crow and Northern Cheyenne medicine men shouting Allah Akbar from the tops of their tepees and houses.
All the Indian kids in school had foot baths in the gym too. And who can forget the reenactments at Custer Battlefield where all tribe representatives knelt and bowed towards Mecca before the slaughter. Of course the medicine wheels were really a representation of pilgrims during the Haja walking around the black stone. They will be shouting "global warming" from the rooftops, mostly because the snow is up to the roof line.
Don't forget that Big Bro' will be there to remind you how generous the new chocolate ration is, down to 2.8 grams from 3.4. Inside out, upside down. There has always been this element, but for some reason they are being listened to these days. People are way to eager to assign their fates to some idea besides their own self determination. That way they'd have to take responsibility for it. Read it now--cause you won't get it again!
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politics/2004334057_obama08m.html There is also another article about his grandmother, can't get that on the internet right now. "So Box and others were stunned when Dunham wrote them to say she'd married the University of Hawaii's first African student, a Kenyan named Barack Obama."
Miss Stanley was not a typical white person, afraid of black folks. Sr. Obama being the African student licits inquiry into his diplomatic status. Did he have Kenyan diplomatic status? Having had a working association (church) with the Navajo tribe early on in this life, I can simply tell you this. It has been believed for many, many years that the Navajo (and Hopi?) have a distinct genetic print that matches up with a tribe from somewhere around northern asia (Mongolian?) Now how this information has been misconstrued by our poorly educated, intellectually stunted, tax payer victimizer that occupy places in our profundly dysfunctional educational system--I can only guess that it is laughable at best.
Hmmm...wonder if the fact that Quebec has a preponderance of hot and reasonably priced hookers has anything to do with Gore considering Quebec the natural place for his seminars...just wonderin'
Off topic...what happened to Habu? Haven't seen a rant from him in many days. Buddy, you heard anything from him?
Perhaps he's succombed to infection from multiple shots to the foot. Perhaps he's hiding in the hills with his gold and diamonds and stash of amo waiting for all hell to finally break loose from the banking and global financial and civilizational melt down leading to rampant canabalism. Well, I haven't actually witnessed any canabalism yet, but all of these millions of people thrown out of their houses and out of work surely will have to start eating each other at some point. Unless of course Obama is elected President and Saviour in Chief.
H is on Sabbatical.
He is touchy. Something teed him off, but he'll be back, because he loves us. That's what I figured. I've seen the cycle with H before on other blogs.
I think H is in need of different company for a while. I think it goes with migrating to certain portions of Montana & a few other interesting areas, generally with limited populations.
I had a friend in College who would disappear back to Montana for extended periods. When he surface here in Colorado, the stories were good ... and almost believable. I miss him. My wife would not. One gold star to anyone who enjoys Maggie's.
Two to anyone who takes their precious time to comment. If a stranger shows up at my gate in MT carrying a carton of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream I will know it is H. I'll heat up the ap and we will tell wildly accurate stories about life in the US before that dang birkenstock crowd took over! All they ever want to do is manage your calendar, tell you who you can/not work with, and how to spend your money. The real chores: facing down the bad guys, chopping wood, and baking apple pies--well that they are pretty useless. Naa--I'll recognize H !
