Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Pretty disappointing, NJ.

Call yourself a "Yankee", do you, yet you call that house 'ugly' when it's "built in a style meant to evoke 19th-century English country houses"?

I thought you Yankees liked that old-style English look!

Personally, I almost heaved my breakfast onto the keyboard when I saw it.

The only thing that stopped it was because I was still laughing from "noted commentator Snoop Dogg." :)

BTW, saw a real interesting video by way of Neal Boortz this morning. Remember the pilot's gun going off in the cockpit last week? If you read the follow-up articles a day or two later, you might have read something about how TSA procedures contributed to the accident.

Ugly doesn't touch what that house looks like. My first impression was of the hats little girls in Holland wear with the traditional dress.

What house,I saw a bunch of wood,clapboards, and shingles in desperate need of a match, and some gasoline. That design would make the Shaker's shit their pants.
