Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Wednesday, April 2. 2008Why Hillary was firedAs if to reinforce our post below, we finally learn why she was fired from the Watergate hearings. This is amazing (but not surprising), at Hot Air. Let's see whether the press is brave enough to be all over this or not. She is a sociopath, just like hubbie - but not as slick as he is. "Birds of a feather..." It's the final nail. She's done. (And I think Obama is done, too, with his Farrakhan story. Unless he tries to explain, once again, that I wouldn't understand because it's "a black thing.") Dems sure can pick 'em. I bet Chris Dodd and Joe Biden are looking pretty good to them now. Update: More on the story here. Trackbacks

hahahaha -- yes indeedy -- enjoying their identity-politics heartily, i imagine -- Buddy ... be afraid ...be very afraid. It's Al Gore who wants to step in and be their savior. Not a pretty picture.
Marianne Matthews ''Not a pretty picture''
No, MM, it sure isn't -- he looks like Peter Lorre on steroids. While you may have a point MM, I don't think the Dem's would fare much better with Mr. Gore leading the charge.
The former chairman of the House Impeachment Committee, Jerry Zeifman (jziefman.com), was interviewed on the Neal Boortz show (boortz.com) this morning. He confirmed the story and said that it was all published in a book he wrote in 1995.

I can still remember my first exposure to Joe Biden. I hadn't been into politics in years, but I thought I'd tune into the John Roberts hearings, just for fun. It was just the usual gabfest of politicians. Then it was Joe Biden's turn. I confess, I sat there just mesmerized by the guy. The charisma he exuded was just amazing. The voice, the penetrating stare, the angular look to his face -- at the time, I said "This guy has 'president' written all over him." Of course, then it turned out he was just another moonbat liberal -- much to my profound disappointment. I was already planning on spending my next two years as his campaign manager as we swept 2008. IMHO, the Democratic Party should have pushed him against Hillary this time around, then dragged out Obama in 2012*. *After spending four years distancing himself from the good Reverend Wright. BTW, the one other senator who really impressed me was John Cornyn from Texas. Another one with 'presidential material' written all over him. well, i guess Biden probably DOES 'look' presidential, DrM, but next time you watch him on tv, try turning on the volume so you can hear him.
hasten to add, even a major mush-mouth like Senator Joe would've been a far better choice than the Red Queen or Vladimir Ilyich Obama.
I confess, too, Dr. Mercury, that I sat there mesmerized by Biden. I watched him interrogate someone else recently, and noted his voice, the penetrating stare, the angular slant to his face, and I said to myself, "This guy has feral written all over him."
Gentlemen: The devastation is most visible and severe when we take a look at the "women's coalitions" that she established. Many campuses today have a "women's democracy center". From which the "administrators/leaders" of these centers teach your daughters to lie is ok if you have a PC goal. These are the same centers that teach courses for academic credit, which are funded by the universities (your tax dollars). These courses are open to only one group of students: single women in their senior year. These gals are then taught how to "manage meetings" (check with Barrister for the rhetorical techniques). Of course, upon graduation they are sent by their former teachers to "help out in the community". I will leave it to you to visualize the rest of the story.
I was mesmerized by Biden once myself, but had been drinking heavily for days.
On January 4, 2008, Eric posted a well written and well researched piece with an extensive set of links on Hillary, her role and her "problems" during the impeachment process.
Here is the link to the piece. Please read it. http://www.classicalvalues.com/archives/2008/01/post_577.html As the saying goes, a skunk can't change it's stripes (or spots, depending upon species). What are the specifics on the Farrakhan story? Is this another thing Obama needs to explain to "typical white" people? His role in Farrakhan's million man march. Forget where I read it.
delightful column & comments here (ht instap):
http://vodkapundit.com/?p=9722#comment-78452 Evan Bayh and Bill Richarson were the Democrats who could have won it all. Instead, they decided to entertain us with a circus.
Done and done? With Democrats? You are attempting to apply rational standards to people voting symbolism!
As to Biden, I always find him persuasive while he is speaking, but when I research what he said and think about it, find out he was deceitful. Example: he attacked John Ashcroft in high dudgeon about the treatment of Gitmo detainees, playing the card that his son in the Army was in increased danger of torture if captured because of it. The reality - Biden's son is a stateside Army attorney - Ashcroft's son was in Iraq. Even their honest men are lying bastards, which is why they couldn't tolerate honest liberal Joe Lieberman. "Even their honest men are lying bastards"
Yep, when you're wrong on the issues, you have to get elected via voter ignorance, and if there's not enough of it around, you create more. You mention Lieberman -- let's fondly remember another like Democrat, Pat Moynihan, who in describing the cultural results of bad politics uttered the immortal phrase, "defining deviancy down". Maybe someday the good Dems will rise up from the graveyard; maybe when the Clintons and their comprehensively corrupt clan finally finishes consuming our political flesh. |
