Then the 70's and Rohr 714's commonly known as Ludes came on strong along with cocaine. Of course Maui gold was a necessity but if you had Ludes or Quaaludes for the uninitiated, and coke to back it up you were THE date night guy and the chicks from Manhattan Beach , Playa and Marina del Rey all the way down to Newport Beach were yours. You could either disco your ass off or sit in a Buddha Lude state and listen to jazz at the world famous Lighthouse in Redondo Beach.

Fortunately I survived that period of life and went on to discover the bliss and therapeutic value of goats milk, tofu burgers, and beet milkshakes. Throw in a weekly enema and you're suddenly a new person, although lately I've had my eye on some Horny Goat Weed at the health food store.
