Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Elections

I am tired of the primaries and the elections. Michelle live-blogged the Dem debate while most people snoozed. However, our friend TigerHawk managed to find some humor in it. Obama calls Bill Clinton a liar. Is that news to us? He is supposedly running against Mrs. Clinton, but they are double-teaming the poor guy, and Bill seems to want his pied a terre in DC back again. Personally, I would never care to spend any time with Mrs. C, but I'd be happy to have a beer with Obama - although I would never vote for him. Meanwhile:

Mrs. C. thinks she is smarter than the markets. I somehow doubt it...

Do I vote for a black guy or a "female" person. Sheesh. Such deep reportage.

And David Brooks wonders about the Reagan coalition. Don't worry so much, Dave.

But the most fun of all: Nader considers running.

I am so sorry that hunting season is over.

Mrs. Clinton is smarter than the market. She turned $10,000 into $100,000. I believe it was in cattle futures, but I could be mistaken. If she is willing to share her secret with the rest of us I think that would help the economy and all of us. Silly me......I must be dreaming! I must find my russian friend and burn my neighbor's house down.

Telling was Hussein crying that she couldn't get by with it if it weren't for Daddy, who obviously scares his muslim hide.

I didn't take that Dave is worried.

Quite rightly, there is no valid Reagan coalition, no problem.

What's left of it could find a home with Hussein, but for the fact that they are Republican.
