We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
too bad that the only true Republican in this race won't be elected and instead we will have to choose between two Democrat wannabes like Huck and McCain. Won't matter since Bloomberg will be splitting the Republican vote just like Perot did.
I am worried about who will be the Republican nominee - McCain and Huckabee - what happened to my party?
I'm not worried about Bloomberg. A big-city, big-government, gay liberal isn't going to draw over many Republicans. He is more likely to draw away votes from whichever flawed candidate the Democrats nominate.
While you all were grousing about the future of the Party, did you think that maybe you could do something about it? Fred's voluteers are calling voters in upcoming states and going on the road to help the ground game. You can get involved at
