Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown

The ULHS has fast swing and Charleston. There is a Lindy Library. Politicians are scum: I'd vote for any of these dancers for President.

Thanks, BD; it's nice to see the young and skinny doing the aerobatics! Lots of Charleston in the swing dancers' moves, too. If you live near southern CT, there are also the world championships each October at the Westin - here's a sample:

Just so you don't get the idea that it's all East Coast and Lindy, there's a lot of West Coast Swing around, and in South Carolina, they still do the Shag, which has an interesting history, too.
