We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
This bit came in over my transom from parts unknown:
In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. During this period of time she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move.
Idiotic? Well, Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified to be President and 50% of Democrats polled agreed. She has never run a City, County, or State.
When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has 8 years in the White House, Dick Morris stated "so has the pastry chef".
Kill the witch early and be happy. She's down but by no means out. Hopefully, the voters will continue to deliver her and her sexual predator husband an offer they can't refuse...Also, it would be worth putting up with an incompetent Obama Presidency to end the so-called Clinton dynasty. He will be less harmful in the longrun.
But something is driving that level of ambition -- it's at the point where she acts as if she believes this is somehow ''her'' country -- and whatever thwarts her taking possession is criminal. I think the deep driver must be some sort of general hatred.
but maybe it's just me -- my own hatred -- i hate the way the two of 'em have ''chumped'' this country for so well and so long.
It's not just you. I don't know if Hussein has what it takes to beat the Alinsky playbook. If he sticks to platitudes and vacuous smiles then he's going to be a light snack for the Clintons.
I'm torn between wanting to see her brought down by Hussein and wanting to see her destroyed in the general. The problem with her going to the general is that the Republican field has to rent storage space because of overflowing closets. Romney is clean but I don't think he'll make it. Thompson is the next cleanest and the one who can give her the best run, IMO.
if he keeps the credibility gap wide enough, he can do it, imo. Right now, she has none, and none is expected--but what IS expected is that the substitute for it--the machine--functions well. The whole idea of a machine is that it works.
When the nomination is done Bammbam can go back to the Senate and try to make "health care affordable and available to every single" Illinoisean, which he said in his hope n change speech in Iowa, he's already accomplished.
He said, as president he'll get it done for every American "the same way".
In other words he's an amatuer liar but a cartoon can do that while simpletons applaud.
