We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I like goose breast grilled on the BBQ, served fairly rare, sliced across the grain and sauced with whole cranberries/orange juice/spices simmered for an hour or so until the berries burst. The rest of the bird I roast whole, save the fat. Use the fat to preserve the roasted legs IN the rendered goosefat and later cook them with white beans/sausage as "cassoulet". Don't pitch that goosefat! Cook up some fried potatoes w/garlic & onions in the rendered goosefat...it's a real treat. And not as 'awful' for your heart as the body nazi's would have you believe.
