Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Yeah, yeah NJ. During LV tours of duty, many regular working stiffs stay at themed places like Ye Olde Casino, while wives shop and go to shows and tour the classic Liberace Museum. Nonstop fun.

Wendys can be ok. Can order a baked potato and chile there. Just sayin cause did not see that on the list.

Spitzer is a Christmas gift to conservatives if they will only open it fully.

Vendors can be forced to collect (or at least report) sales taxes if they have a physical presence in the taxing area: this has been so for some time.

Spitzer is claiming that a website run by a resident and having a paid-for (or comission generating) link/button to a vendor constitutes such a presence. As soon as someone has a link to a European winery and Spitzer refuses to try to enforce his interpretation, a class-action suit should blow him away. If not before - I think the earlier Border`s case (which set the "physical presence" parameter) actually addressed the issue.
