Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I'm feeling a bit cranky today so just pan the acerbic prose.

By my personal experience over the past fifteen perhaps twenty years how many times have I seen a variation on this story? Are we using this one as an educational tool for the mass audience of freshly minted 14 year olds who are glued to MF? or any other media for this story?

My God we've calculated the number of digits in the decimal expansion of pi to exactly 1.2411 trillion digits. We've at least had as many articles worldwide on this topic.

Or if you prefer we can go the other way..how many times can an integer be divided? An infinite number of times, that's how many.

I guess the point I'm making is a Howard Beale special #1.
(for those who have never seen the movie Network please do. It has no peer in it's truth.)

But wait , let me finish on a positive note:

No kidding, why I hadn't realized the media was so bias. I'm outraged !!
