Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I don't know if you think this is news, but these pictures bent me three ways to Sunday and I wanted to share with one of my favorite blogs. I'm probably just PMSing, but I didn't know whether to weep or rage - the pink bow made me come undone.

Not sure why... but somehow I can't place Chomsky and logic in the same sentence... well except for now. That was an astute comment by Norm's emailer.

Well the dem's just grasping at what little success they have had... completely glossing over the failures, of course.

Not sure if he really has a chance... but Fred sure says the right words on occasion. Not just this comment about his daughter.... but the immigration proposal he released today... it sounded good at first reading... time will tell.

Re the Latino bloc... it is only the illegal portion of that, that we need worry about. It is the other part of the normal dem voting bloc we need worry about.

Many dances to be danced re Hillary... momentum is one thing... pulling the lever another. She is the perfect opposition for the GOP just now... I would prefer the choices be as stark as possible... and folks vote. Lets just see where we are going.

Times, Krugman, book reviews... I find it difficult to care anymore... even when someone calls them to task.
