Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Mocia Crowley writes in todays Human Events a parody artcle entitled "Bin Laden’s New Strategery?"

It parodies 24 AQ who on orders from OBL surrender to US authorities and then plan to use our laws, media, and useful idiots to support the takeover of the US.

With this countries current ideological makeup and impending Democratic takeover I'm not convinced it's a parody at all but rather a nightmare.

Thanks, good to be back with rational people. I spent about a month over at Politico ...wear a HAZMAT suit. The most vile site I've ever posted on, bar none. I did however (self kudos about to be administered) get over 10,000 hits looking at my bio in the time I was there. It could have been more of a "Hey we found Sasquatch" deal than anything else but it got very very toxic and I couldn't handle the vulgarity or lack of knowledge.
This place really is a great site.
