We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

"Mom and Dad" banished from California Schools?

Is this news report true?

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

How very progressive and sophisticated to define deviance down in this way. Story here.  I am sure that Jim and Sarah D. would not be pleased. It's sick out there, and getting sicker.

When people in all innocence ask what makes you think there's a gay agenda, point out Mom and Dad about to be flushed down the memory hole in the school textbooks. On to the next plank in the gay platform!

Gwynnie, even that is an understatement of what is coming down the road. There was much pooh-poohing whenever the slippery slope was brought up regarding the slide into degeneracy in this country through the efforts of homosexual/pansexual zealots and their allies among the intellectual ant colony. Well, with a stroke of a pen, this rather fatuous actor-governor has made a major attempt to undo millennia of sacred Judeo-Christian morality and revered human tradition for the sake of pandering to folks who are unsure of whether they are or whether they have a zipper.

Anyone who thinks that the United States is not coming unglued must be a traveling buddy of Al "Nobel Prize" Gore as he tours the Constellation Orion.

Ummmmm.....I traced the links given an none of them seem to track to a document (bill, press release, etc) that says any of thet.

Don't get me wrong, I am prepared to believe it.

But I hang with pwople who keep saying "Show me where they did that."
