Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The Islamist Head Fake

At IBD (which is becoming a great news and opinion source) via LGF. A quote:

“I swear by Allah that war is deception,” said Shukri Abu-Baker, now on trial in the federal terror-funding case. “We are fighting our enemy with a kind heart. . . . Deceive, camouflage, pretend that you’re leaving while you’re walking that way. Deceive your enemy.”

The wishfully naive West still doesn't get it. Doesn't want to get it, because it would be trouble to deal with it.

You are right about the "They don't want to get it." Here in Canada, we are taught that we must kiss their butts (to bring them around). Meanwhile, they have plans to trample on our culture and our ways. Somehow, I doubt that love will do it - and they are telling us that if we would only listen.

The trouble in dealing with militant Islamics is that would require the self selected Ruling Class to reexamine its conclusion that it has won the War against Evil.

We must keep trying to wake people up. Of course the Left, and also those on the Right (like Bush for one) which still claim Islam is a religion of peace that has been hijacked by a few extremists.
