Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Free the Ocean View 6: Another Schoolyard "Fight"

White teen beaten by five or six blacks (presumably honor students and football stars, all) in Ocean View, VA this past weekend. You can read the story and watch the rather disturbing video at the link here. 

Just a bunch of kids rough-housing, doing what boys do, right?  Watch it and make up your own mind.

Maybe things have changed since my time. Schoolyard fights used to be relatively harmless male nonsense.

I can't believe in 2007 whites are still getting away with abusing blacks in this manner. That boy should be jailed on hate crimes and assault with a hard head. We need marches and demonstrations to rival the 60's immediately or other whites will get the idea that times haven't changed and it is still okay to beat on black peoples fists with their faces.

We can't tell if it is racially motivated. That seems a possible, even likely explanation, but criminal matters are not decided on probability.

The 6 on 1 is cowardly, and the attacks were violent. We don't need to mind read beyond that.
