Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Gimme that old time religion ,gimme that old time religion , gimme that old time religion, it's good enough for me.
Hey since reincarnation works both ways depending on how the last audition worked out maybe it ain't such a bad thang..I mean a once person could come back as bovine spongiform encephalopathy. Or a steroid pumped home run hitter in San Fransisco. The Chinese government is freakin'.
My dad believed he was reincarnated, by the way. Thanks for commenting on my page while I was on vacation. I'll be back over here to read more of your work soon! Have a great week! Former terrorist now teaches at Northwestern Law School
www.DiscoverTheNetwork.org Date: 8/8/2007 11:16:46 AM BERNARDINE DOHRN Leader of the domestic terrorist group Weatherman Participated in the bombings of New York City police headquarters in 1970, the Capitol building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972 Delighted in Charles Manson's infamous murders Director of the Children and Family Justice Center at Northwestern University Professor at Northwestern University Law School Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1942, Bernardine Dohrn is currently an Associate Professor of Law at Northwestern University, where she is also Director of the Legal Clinic’s Children and Family Justice Center. Moreover, she sits on important committees and boards of the American Bar Association and the American Civil Liberties Union. In the 1960s, Dohrn was a leader of the Students for a Democratic Society's “Weatherman” faction, which in 1969 went underground to become America’s first terrorist cult. At a 1969 “War Council” in Flint, Michigan, Dohrn gave her most memorable and notorious speech to her followers. Holding her fingers in what became the Weatherman “fork salute,” she said of the bloody murders recently committed by the Manson Family in which the pregnant actress Sharon Tate and a Folgers Coffee heiress and several other inhabitants of a Benedict Canyon mansion were brutally stabbed to death: “Dig it! First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim’s stomach! Wild!” The “War Council” ended with a formal declaration of war against “AmeriKKKa,” always spelled with three K’s to signify the United States' allegedly ineradicable white racism. Professor Dohrn has said of her Weatherman past, “We rejected terrorism. We were careful not to hurt anybody.” Both assertions are false, however. Weatherman's twofold agenda was terrorism (which is why Charles Manson was Dohrn's hero) and war (the organization’s very existence was launched with a formal “declaration of war”), and Dohrn periodically issued “war communiqués” to the public at large. The intention of the group was to shed their “white skin privilege” and launch a violent race war on behalf of Third World People. A Chicago district attorney named Richard Elrod was seriously injured in the Weatherman riot that erupted during the Chicago “Days of Rage” in October 1969, and he was paralyzed for life as a result. Dohrn later led a celebration of Elrod's paralysis by leading her comrades in a parody of a Bob Dylan song -- “Lay, Elrod, Lay.” Moreover, law-enforcement authorities are still investigating a bombing in San Francisco that killed a policeman, for which Professor Dohrn is one of the suspects. Dohrn spent most of the 1970s with her accomplices running from the FBI, which had placed her on its “Ten Most Wanted List.” During the last years of their underground life, Dohrn and her husband Bill Ayers resided in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood where they used the aliases Christine Louise Douglas and Anthony J. Lee. In 1980 Dohrn and her cohorts surrendered to authorities, but all charges against them were subsequently dropped on the grounds that the fugitives had been illegally surveilled. Dohrn did plead guilty, however, to charges of aggravated battery and bail-jumping, for which she received probation. Shortly after turning themselves in, Dohrn and Ayers adopted Chesa Boudin, son of former Weather Underground members Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, when the parents were arrested for their activities with the Black Liberation Army. Dohrn later served less than a year in prison for refusing to testify against ex-Weatherman Susan Rosenberg in the latter’s trial for armed robbery. Today Professor Dohrn expresses no real regret over her radical past. Though she has distanced herself from the Manson remark (insinuating falsely that it was a “joke”), her political views are as extreme as ever. On one occasion she justified her past actions, saying, “We organized both against war and racism. We also taught that all human life is equally valid, not just the body count of the United States.” Professor Dorhn has been a commencement speaker at several university graduations, including California’s prestigious Pitzer College, where in 2004 she told the graduates: “During your student years here, the shredded economy and loss of jobs, the consequences of deregulation and devolution that bankrupted state and local governments, the relentless punishment and imprisoning of over two million people in America, flagrant corporate plunder and criminality, rolling blackouts, the apparently permanent war on terrorism, the shock and awe occupation of Iraq, systematic and degrading detention without trial, torture and extra-judicial assassinations, and the establishment of a crescent of new U.S. military bases across the Middle East and South Asia -- all have transformed whatever blissful illusions were harbored as you entered college.” Dohrn earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago in 1963, and a J.D. from the University of Chicago School of Law four years later. Whut de hell do that hev to do wit reintarnation? You dumb.
that's a belief of the Frisbeetarians, who hold that when you die your sould flies up onto the roof and gets stuck in the rain gutter.
Actually nothing but let me spin something up real quick here since that's our society today..ok 1...2...3..
It is only in this grand and glorious nation that a child can know that a redemption, a rebirth, a reincarnation of their being can take place. Let's examine for a minute the life of a young woman, caught up in the 1960's radical movement who once rehabilitated by the loving embrace of the State has gone on to teach our wonderful system of law and justice to future generations. In other words she is "doing it for the children", our future, our pensioner's monthly check. It truly is a reincarnation of her being. (then fit in the bio on Dohrn above) Do I have a witness? Yes brother Habu!! Say Amen! ( strike up the 88's with some Mahalia Jackson and Lawd we be cook'n) Say Amen! Amen! Thank you brothas and sistas. Ok..did that work out OK? Remember we don't use a traditional grading sytem or keep score, we just stay harmonically balanced, allowing the Tao to Yin and Yang away..or not. "Dorhnut" --noun; a ring of fried fat that is bad for the health.
I am glad this does not happen in America.
Mark Nicol, London Daily Mail, August 6, 2007 A teenage science student has been banned from applying for a training programme with the Environment Agency because she is white and English The recruitment agency handling the scheme told Abigail Howarth, 18, that there was no point in her submitting an application because of her ethnic background. But bizarrely she could have applied if she had been white and Welsh, Scottish or Irish. Abigail, who wanted to join the Agency’s flood management programme, saw an advert in a local newspaper offering positions in the Anglia region where she lives, complete with a £13,000-a-year tax-free grant. It made no mention of the ban on white English applicants, merely noting that candidates from ethnic minorities, such as “Asian, Indian’ and “White Other, e.g. Irish, Welsh, Scottish’, were encouraged to put themselves forward. Abigail, of Little Straughton, Bedfordshire, said: “I was really disappointed. To be told being “White English” ruled me out in my home county shocked me. I know why there are positive action training schemes to assist those who are genuinely discriminated against but when it’s broken down to this level it seems crazy to me. “I really wanted to work for the agency and I was very excited—followed by feeling very disappointed. “I would not have minded had I been beaten for the position by somebody better able than me.” Abigail, who is awaiting the results of A-Levels in environmental science, geography and geology, emailed PATH National Ltd, the company handling applications. She asked: “Am I correct in assuming that as I am English (White) I need not apply as the preference is for the minorities you have listed, or can I apply anyway?’ Three days later, PATH recruitment officer, Bola Odusi, replied: “Thank you for your enquiry unfortunately the traineeship opportunity in [sic] targeted towards the ethnic minority group to address their under representations in the professions under the Race Relations Act amended 2000.” Such a policy may breach Race Relations legislation as employers must prove ethnic groups are under-represented before using positive discrimination strategies. The Environment Agency admitted it had ‘no evidence that white Welsh, Scottish or Irish workers were under-represented’ in the Anglia region. South West Bedfordshire Tory MP Andrew Selous said: “I think this is complete nonsense and the Environment Agency should be taking the best people, irrespective of their background. “This is obviously borne out of some idiotic quota system. Abigail should have been able to apply and been judged on her own merits. I will raise this when I have a meeting with the Environment Agency next month.” PATH National’s organisational development manager, Mary McDowell, said: “The “White Welsh”, “White Irish” and “White Scottish” is a technicality in law—if they are a minority, they are entitled to places on these schemes—they are not part of the majority group, which is “White English”. “The “White English” in this area are the majority group and hence could not apply. “That is the way the law is laid. This is a chance for people who might be less employable to gain experience, just experience. Public-sector organisations have a duty to ensure they reflect the make-up of the society they serve.” The Environment Agency says 387 of its 12,000 workers claim BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) status. A spokesman added: “The Commission for Racial Equality has confirmed we are acting legally.” A CRE spokeswoman said: “The Commission will be checking with the Environment Agency to clarify the current situation regarding their positive action initiatives. “Positive action can only be used to encourage or train particular under-represented groups.” WOW
August 08, 2007 "Intifada" Comes to Brooklyn Ed Lasky The first New York Charter School for Arab girls is selling T-shirts emblazoned with the words "Intifada - New York The principle of the school, Dhabah Almontaser, said "I think it's pretty much an opportunity for girls to express that they are part of New York City society ... and shaking off oppression," A chance for girls to shake off oppression that comes from being part of New York City society? How about the oppression of women that is rife in the Arab world? Women are more "liberated" in New York City than they are in Riyadh: I do not think the proponents of charter schools had this sort of activism and education in mind. These are not the type of school uniforms contemplated by some advocates of charter schools-particularly when the principal is implicitly putting pressure on children to buy these shirts-which financially benefit an activist organization with which she shares office space. The New York Jewish community is not amused: Sale of the T-shirts, which prompted a critical news story in the New York Post on Monday, was condemned by New York state assemblyman Dov Hikind, an Orthodox Jew from Brooklyn. In a letter to the New York schools chancellor, Joel Klein, Hikind said it is "outrageous" that Almontaser would "support and hail" the T-shirts. "It is grossly insensitive," Hikind said. "I have had personal friends killed in the recent Intifada. What is Ms. Almontaser thinking? If this is her mindset, a radicalized vision of Islam, she poses a danger to New York City students and she should be removed immediately. She has disqualified herself from being a principal in any New York City school." What's next? T-Shirts with Arafat's picture on them? Hell-o New York, In-ti-fada We are coming to make us mar-tas We will strap-on high ex-plo-sives And make the city where you live very unsafe Hello mud-da, hello fad-da, we are here with In-ti-fada We will do it , when the time comes, Cause they all need, some Muslim learn'n And sharia can take it's place among 'em That's a public school, BTW. FoxNews coverewd the story. A public school, in NYC, that we ALL know will be dedicated to propagating intifada. That's enough to piss someone off.
