We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Baqubah: Michael Yon's latest. Fascinating, especially about the drones.
Baghdad: Crittenden. About Al Quaida, and a battle. Plus he reminds you of what you can do on the home front: This Sunday, Get Naked for America. (No Grannies, please.)
Michael Yon's reporting is tops! Thanks NJ for pointing this one out as it highlights the old saw about unintended consequences.
The drones that are buzzing around take about zero time for our troops to operate with great effeciencey since they grew up on XBox and other interactives.
I heard an interview with a Lt.Col. who pointed this out. The drones arrive and almost every man in the platoon can operate them immediately......yeah!!
