I want to stay in that $16,000.00 per night room in Moscow. And I want that $700 breakfast. I deserve it. I'm not sure why yet, but I'll come up with a deservement factor.

Could that NYT's article about small schools have had any more whining in it? Good grief. Something good happens, people are working very hard to fix things, and all some people can do is whine. Why would anyone want to work in the public sector is beyond me. Too many fools out there.

Oy. That science test. :) I am not telling my score because I just know the test is a trick.

Would someone please explain the question about the red rose? That one stumped me. The rest I got right except for the ones I didn't.

Got a 73%. So much for good guessing. Did much better than on my HS chemistry regents-37%.

Well, some of the 'right' answers were wrong. The elbow, frinstance--they said it was a 'lever' but really it's more of a pulley.

Think about it--a lever needs a fulcrum, for one thing. For another, contracting/stretching muscles DO duplicate the lengthening/shortening lines of a pulley.

So my 65% is under dispute. Dammit.

I agree. 'Zactly my thoughts. I knew that fulcrum stuff. I contested the red rose in my mind and Googled it. Got Robert Burns' poem, 'Whoa, my luuuv is liak a rid rid roaz...' Whut a wee slikeette mousie he eth.

Sean, you must be from NY state. I think they're the only state that has Regents exams. That's where I went to high school. I remember those tests.

I can't believe I just noted two Jimmy Webb songs in less than 12 hours. I did not plan that.

Cool, really. I idolize him. He wrote my favorite song of all time: "By the Time I Get to Phoenix"

(That has nothing to do with my screen name - I have loved that song since a hundred years ago.)
