We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
How can I instruct someone to be truthful when taking a Moral Sense Test? Anyhow, you can try the Harvard test here. (h/t, Drezner). Then you can lie about your test results.
I am astounded. The test asks for your idea of fines to be paid to the GOVERNMENT when an individual hurts another individual. HUH?
Since when is giving the local government an average of $75,000 or so for accidentally breaking someone's nose:
A) a moral obligation
B) Prudent
C) any of government's business
???
I suggest that the people doing this test get an F for stupidity and overt socialist mindset.
Ditto with Phoenix on the score. The worst that could be said is that the offenders were ignorant. Even if they were in the wrong there's no way I'm giving money to the government. Screw them.
Zero for me two. And did anyone else notice all the grammatical mistakes and misspellings? These folks are from Harvard? I'm sure there's an agenda here but I don't know what it is.
also zero after I read that the fine goes to the govenment . This is where the best and brightest come from ? Shudder, Did you also notice under occupation there wasn't any slot for for-profit jobs? you know the ones that pay for all the other ones.
So much for my reading comprehension. I skipped over the intro and just went for the test and missed the part where the money went to the government. It wouldn't have changed my score, though.
What dufuses. And the grammar and misspellings were bad. But weird - that people scored enough points to equal something around $75K. Yikes.
