We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Always thought how funny when they say "don't tell" and I think about him dancing on the tables at "the parade" (gay disco on bourbon street) . Never doubted his patriotism though and neither should the homophobics in this country or does everyone think that none of the founding fathers were gay? Seriously doubt it.
Prior to the formation of the SEALS there were the Navy Frogmen. This however presented some biological nomenclature and real life challenges for the "fighting" men and the Department of the Navy.
It seems as far as frogs are concerned
apparently there are chemical triggers that respond to the
number of members in a population that will activate the gene(s)
that will allow for the disintegration of one set of sex organs and
the development of the other. This is an advantage to a species
whereby they have evolved the ability to assure their reproductive
Little known to the public a subset of the newly formed SEALS were the U.S. Navy Squeals who, while not fully integrated into the hetero-units still remained a formidable fighting force who also had the rare ability to become spiked heeled B-girls once on dry land. Such are our fighting men, women and men-women.
