We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Since this was the only post under yesterdays A Connecticut Farm House in the Rain tread it was probably overlooked ,especiallsince it didn't fit in with the tread without a wedge and a mall hammer....however with apologies to BD here is what I wrote ysterday on this subject.
It cut my article off..I must have used the secret "cut off here" HTML gobble de gook. Well here's what I wroe yesterday:
The home is as beatiful in th rain as it is in the sunlight.
In looking at the home I began to wonder if the conversation inside had turned to The American Thinker piece, "Why the MSM Love Fest for Hugo Chavez?"
By Ed Lasky.
My wish was that it has not but rather was engaged in something more contemplative, say the PH balance in the soil of the grounds at city hall.
I think I will allow what brains I have left to quickly drain off if I see another piece on "Why the MSM loves (in no particular order) Marxism, socialism, communism, anarchists, Trotskyites, GreenPeace, Mother Jones, Islam, well you get the picture.
The great conservative philosopher Edmund Burke once wrote, and I believe this to be true, that each generation must deal with it's own unique circumstances, since no man is given to peer into the future with absolute certitude and devine what needs to occur now to avoid the "then"
In the much to be dispised "Boomer Generation" questions such as the above MSM one have long since been argued and answered. The demarcation between the left and the right in this country has rarely been as clear and a tectonic shifting of those positions is not likely to occur before the "Boomers" are pushing up bloomers.
I guess the guy needs to make a living.
