Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Disagree....show genuine anger and hostility without threats....eg....do not address an email to The Honorable Senator X ....Mr X. will do just fine or fellow citizen X ...these people are OUR representatives, they work for US yet they have adorned themselves with the imperious mantle of our rulers.....a little disrespect is in order, not Emily Post.

Conservative , white glove, follow the rules, is OUT. We've tried that and we're just plantation workers to the power who say "where're they gonna go, who they gonna vote for?"

When nice doesn't work you raise the stakes...verbal hostility WITHOUT THREATS OF ANY KIND is perfectly acceptable.....

We wouldn't be facing this bill if EFFECTIVE APPROACHES had worked in the first place

Look we no longer have the Alien and Sedition Acts on the books. You ARE allowed to be critical , harshly so of your Congreemen ..nows the time to do it. Forget nice it didn't work...20 million illegal immigrants who since 9-11 have committed 20,000 murders and countless more felonies...no leave nice out this time. Let 'em ahve an eyeball full of email.
