Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Lucky

This photo shows an unfortunate situation a driver found himself in:
 
Look at the first picture above and you can see where this guy broke through the guard rail (right side where the people are standing on the road).

His truck left the road, traveling from right to left. He flipped end-over-end, across the culvert outlet and landed on the left side of it. Now look at the 2nd picture (story confirmed via Snopes):

oh my. You can walk away from that vehicle with a week's worh of headaches and backaches, maybe a couple of minor cuts and bruises. But, you'll get the drizzles for a lifetime--just thinkin about it!

I saw these photos on http://blogidaho.blogspot.com/ a few months ago.

I think he said it had happened in Idaho along the Snake river.

One of the little understood principles about the intarwebthingy is that if you stumble across something interesting, the odds are pretty high that if you tell very many "surfers" about it, you will tell one who has seen it already.

Checking against snopes.com is a goot thing to do.

I need to send them some money one of these days.
