One of those disagreement areas.

I think the habit of trying to connect Osama to bj Laden demeans us and does him little harm. Particularly when you look at it on a percentage basis amid the stuff he does do that is fair game.

Makes us look like schoolyard bullies reduced to ineffective name calling.

There are enough facts to work with, let's tick to them.

LS, i think it's a joke--a reference to how often and by how many people the transposition is accidentally made. You just did it yourself, in your second sentence.

Yes, here's to Moms! My four sibs and I took ours out to lunch today. No spouses - not even our Dad - none of the grandkids - just us 6. Quite unique, and good fun.

both of ours are long departed. Our three younguns (oldest pushing 40 I guess) out in the world. All called home today.

Middlest one (drives a big truck) apparently rescued a woman and her child from the guy that was beating them up.

The other (dark) side of Mother's Day.

On a brighter side--cleaned out one of the outdoor grills and cranked it up for the first time in several months--fixed momma and me some steaks for a quiet dinner. (It isn't that it is warm weather--we use that or the smaller one for smoking grilling year-round. Yeah the nut with the mesquite fire in the driving snowstorm. That's me.

But around here supermarket steaks need only a table knife. Can cut them with a fork, really, but a table knife is a little more graceful.

A while ago, cranked up my propane Weber grill and the thing caught fire. Squirrels had chewed through the gas line. Melted all of the dials, etc. Need a new grill.

Bummer.

But I gave up on that stuff and Returned To The Old and Good Ways.

Hard as a good one is to find, I use charcoal-fired grills and smokers.

Import the mesquite charcoal from Lazarri's in South San Francisco (going to have to make a trip, or pay to have have it shipped this year) and mesquite blocks imported from Texas for me by truck-driving-daughter.
