Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Thanks for the fun pic, Loyal Reader. Remind me - how many millions did she and her hubbie make in real estate? 20? Gotta love the generosity of limo libs with OPM.  Now gotta get them peas planted, so there will be food for the babies when the Revolution comes. The seeds have soaked overnight, as recommended.

Can't find the seeds I bought two weeks ago. Must be beneath the pile of snow shovels and salt and boots in the back hall...

Planted pansies yesterday in the front flowerbed and in the deck planters. The multi-shaded blues, and some lovely pale yellow ones, and multi-hed lavenders. Home Depot's finest.

Kid and I picked out a rather nice 18 inch high pseudo-Celtic cast cross to evangelize the squirrels and the birds. Husband commented sceptically on being called to admire it "Who have you buried there?" Snappishly I retorted "Just keeping a special spot for my first husband..." He was not amused...
