Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

re AI Is Going to Destroy Us All
Well . . . there is this: QUOTE: The Great AI Gambit The core and leading big names in tech, namely Google, Amazon, Facebook and Microsoft, are part of the biggest AI circular financing and concentration risk gambit in the history of U.S. equity markets. These hyper-scalers get 70% of their AI revenues from just two players, Anthropic and OpenAI, two profitless companies whose costs are billions greater than their revenues. These two screaming examples of concentration risk are bleeding money at an historical scale. Even AI's own search results confirm the same: . . . And if you are wondering how Anthropic and OpenAI are funded, it's not from big VC names. Actually, the bulk of their equity (over 700B in 2026 AI capex alone) is coming from the very same companies (Microsoft, Amazon, Google, SoftBank and Nvidia) they sell their un-moted software to... Even more alarming, these same tech hyper-scalers which keep the two AI ships afloat are themselves burning cash at a record pace on data centers whose costs (and power problems) are killing their cash flows. Given this circular, financed, uber-concentrated and just massive capex profile and daisy chain, AI is literally becoming too big to fail. The very survival of our economy and stock market is now being gambled on a single AI play whose profitable future is anything but certain https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/americas-wile-e-coyote-moment re "At the end of the day, I think the current riots are down mostly to the unfortunate French tendency to tolerate political violence, which goes back to 1789."
European Utopia Burns: Far-left Riots Spread Like Cancer From France To Belgium https://www.zerohedge.com/political/european-utopia-burns-far-left-riots-spread-cancer-france-belgium The riots, all of the violence and disenfranchisement of citizens is the entire purpose of massive illegal immigration from shithole countries. This will allow those in power to take more power. This will allow those on the left to move the government to the left; towards socialism with the ultimate goal to become communist. You cannot take over a country of peaceful, happy, middle class, intelligent citizens. You need, violence in the streets, anger, poverty and stupidity. Bringing in millions of violent, angry, poor and low IQ illegals accomplishes this.
British Government Locks Down Entire Town to Import More Migrants
https://hotair.com/tree-hugging-sister/2026/10/05/dirty-deeds-after-dark-british-government-locks-down-entire-town-to-import-more-migrants-n3819621 AI has written a compelling mathematical disproof of Darwinian evolution.
https://www.amazon.com/Probability-Zero-Mathematical-Impossibility-Evolution/dp/B0D2NV91NM?tag=ustxtaddt-20 It's nice to see that old dog abuser's coffin nailed shut for good. And yet, evolution is everywhere you look. From the covid virus to dog breeds. From the corn today compared to the corn a mere 2000 years ago. in everything living there is obvious and clear evolution. But what alternative is there??? I know some will grasp at a superior being or superior intelligence. How did that happen? A lightening stroke and there he stood a superior being/entity that was so intelligent, so powerful that he could evolve, opps, I mean create in a series of steps that resemble evolution, life!!! But wait! If he was so powerful why did he use evolution to create?!? Never mind, don't want to confuse, so back to the sudden creation of incredible intelligence and power over the universe... Where did that come from? Did an even greater intelligence and power create it and ditto for that one...
And why rule out evolution? Something we can see, it makes sense especially when compared to the magic super intelligent entity that suddenly appeared. Oh! Wait!! THAT is the whole purpose of trying to discredit evolution. DUH! Of course! Eliminate the only logical, obvious and provable answer and it makes the magical answer, slightly, more believable! If Darwinian evolution cannot survive rigorous mathematical testing then it is a poor explanatory model and needs to be scrapped or completely overhauled.
They’ve had several decades to answer the objections from the mathematics community. It’s time to put up or shut up. Now replace "evolution" with "the theory or relativity" "speed of light" "big bang theory" etc. There is so much that we don't know that works, we can see it, ad feel it and yet cannot be proved mostly because we don't understand it and partly because we don't know how to properly assess it. I'm sure "love" cannot be proven mathematically and yet there it is.
If you own a dog it was evolved into the animal you see. If you take a pack of dogs and allow them to run free in about 3 generations they would all look the same and nothing like the original dogs. And they would look exactly like feral dogs everywhere because every dog breed evolved into what we see and must be carefully managed to prevent them from becoming just a mutt. Almost all of the best known and most winning race horses have evolved from a single sire. Virtually every animal used and raised by humans has evolved to be a different animal than it's ancestors. Evolution is in our blood, in our genes and happens all the time to every living thing. But yet some AI has determined that they cannot mathematically prove it so don't believe your lying eyes. We all know about dog and horse breeding. This book is not about that.
The question is this: Is that mechanism that we see in dogs and horses and corn and ourselves sufficient to account for the origin of species? Now that we have mapped the genome (just completed last summer), we can actually do the math to find out. And looks like it's not even close by many, many orders of magnitude.

So your answer is magic?
There are "leaps" in evolution. These were explained by unusual galactic events including sudden releases of radiation which caused sudden sometimes inexplicable changes in DNA. How many times did this happen? No one knows nor could they know but rest assured they did not follow a mathematical path, hence the phrase sudden inexplicable changes. My thesis in this is simple: Evolution, with or without any belief in a supreme being is true, we see it, it is there, perhaps if there were a supreme being he used evolution to make the world what it is. But evolution is undeniable even though we cannot explain the gaps and jumps in the theory. If your goal is to prop up the supreme being theory (or whatever label you prefer) it cannot be done BUT you can attack all opposing theories and then, in your mind at least, it makes the supreme being theory look better. Therefore it is not surprising that, wait for it, the theory of evolution is always under attack. I don't know the answers to those missing links, neither do the mathematicians and the naysayers. No one knows, maybe humans will never know. I have no problem with whatever someone else believes but when you publish you open yourself up to discussion and weak arguments fall apart and people get defensive instead of inquisitive. If you want to blow your mind and challenge your beliefs enter "chimpanzee dna vs human dna" into Google and read the answer.

Magic? No. I'm just interested in truth. Mathematics can good for parsing what's true and what's not.
As for your "galactic radiation" theory though, they've been blasting fruit flies with all kinds of radiation for a hundred years and no new species has ever been generated. "If you want to blow your mind and challenge your beliefs enter "chimpanzee dna vs human dna" into Google and read the answer." Funnily enough, that is one of the pivotal calculations made in the book. It might just blow YOUR mind :)

"I'm just interested in truth"
Me too but I'm a skeptic and curious. The math is perfect argument just doesn't work for me. History is full of examples of scientists being wrong.

I’d venture the mathematicians get it right far more than the scientists.

I actually agree with you on that. BUT this time they stepped out of their lane. Presumably because the agenda was more important than the truth and the biased thought, "lets use math to prop up our agenda!"

Maybe best to read the book before making any presumptions about said book.

Leaps in evolution are largely apparent not actual. When a new environment opens up, evolution will often 'rapidly' diversify to fill the available niches. However, 'rapid' here means over many generations. In the geological record, these changes may look sudden or punctuated, but that's largely due to the coarseness of the geologic record.

A “Just-so-story” intended to deceive.
And putting the word “rapidly” in quotes is a poor substitute for actually doing the math. Come on you little Satanic shill. Do the math. Refute the calculations made in the book. For once in your cringing, pathetic life do something besides regurgitating the same old fairytales, just-so-stories, and circular deceptions that have become your ignoble trademark.

Even in the affluent Massachusetts suburb of Burlington, which went for Kamala Harris by a 58-40 margin, there is resistance to having the WOKE dogma forced upon its citizens.
(Disclosure: I spent time in Burlington while my father spent his final weeks at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.) AI is going to kill us all... well, it will surely kill a few of us. Just like fire, electricity, automobiles, and atomic energy. I just refuse to protect the abusers of all this tech. Accountability and liability work to our advantage.
