Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

The English people have spoken and demanded that Keir Starmer leave office. Starmer has indeed finally agreed to leave office. But wait! Not today or tomorrow or next week but months from now. Why? Because in this interval he intends to implement more harm than he could have caused before. Now until he leave the office he is essentially beyond reproach. You can't threaten to throw him out he's leaving! This is intentional on his part because he hates his countrymen and wants to cause more chaos. His decision and the process around it looks similar to when Trudeau stepped down in Canada and a unknown, unelected new leader was "placed" into office without a vote of the people. Pay attention England! I think you are about to get screwed by the same politician you have just kicked out of office.

Voters in Britain's parliamentary system don't elect a Prime Minister. They vote for their local Members of Parliament (MPs). The party that can command a majority in the House of Commons forms the government, and its leader usually becomes prime minister. When the Prime Minister resigns, the Prime Minister usually stays in office until the party can choose a successor. That's how it works. OneGuy: His decision and the process around it looks similar to when Trudeau stepped down in Canada and a unknown, unelected new leader was "placed" into office without a vote of the people. Under Canada's parliamentary system, Trudeau stayed in office until the Liberal Party chose a new leader. That's how it works there too. The United States is a presidential system, but even there, voters do not directly elect the president. They vote for electors, who then formally elect the president through the Electoral College. This often occurs in the corporate world, as well. For instance, Michael Eisner at Disney lost the confidence of the board of directors, but remained as CEO for about a year while the succession was worked out.
Your boss Satan was defeated 2000 years ago yet he remains the Prince of the World, at least for a little while longer.
We don't need anybody. Maybe some temporary farmworkers and they emphasize temporary until farmers mechanize or change their crops so their business model does not rely on illegal immigration. Maybe we can keep the visa program that allows people with extremely high skills who are outstanding in their field who are exceptional and can prove it but we don't need anybody else. If we are lacking it is because we have not incentivized our own citizens. Immigration is a scam it's a transfer of wealth from labor to capital. There's very little economic benefit and what benefit there is has been shown to be captured by those who hire immigrants and the immigrants themselves while passing on all of the social economic and environmental burdens to our poorest communities. Also all of those people who have not assimilated need to relocate. Also everyone who has worked to keep our borders open and erase and replace us with endless massive immigration and more and more amnesties need to pay a price.
I used to believe this too until I started spending more time with Gen Z kids. I would estimate that a full 40% of these kids are unemployable in jobs that require cognitive skills. They are simply not capable of processing information. A solid 20% are unemployable even at menial jobs. They can't be bothered to show up for work on time. Can't follow simple instructions. It is mind boggling. AI can't come fast enough.
From the World Cup article...
"Whether such positive press can restore a reputation battered by an often confrontational government that has proudly proclaimed 'America First' and angered allies including Canada, Britain, Germany and more..." one wonders who the US government should put ahead of 'America' when it comes to government policy. Unfortunately, the article neglected to say. Not Sure : I am sure you pose the question """"".....who the US government should put ahead of 'America' when it comes to government policy. """ rhetorically. LOL our current elite would never consider putting American interests first and thus anger our "allies".
For some reason yet unknown Canada, our ally, was importing massive amounts of cheap Chinese aluminum and selling it into the U.S. Our last U.S. aluminum plant was about to close because of the unfair competition. Canada was breaking the rules. They knew it, the Chinese knew it, the U.S. government knew it and the MSM knew it. But no one said or did anything about it until Trump was elected. Canada immediately chose to drum up Canadian patriotism and denigrate the U.S. because we ended their crooked little steal. They are still doing it, unable and unwilling to comply with the very agreement they signed. Canada was our strongest ally and they were stabbing us in the back. NOT the Canadians who were blissfully ignorant of this because the CBN was covering it up and has never reported it. It was Trudeau and a cabal of non-Canadian immigrants running the scam. To this day Most Canadians are proudly standing with their elbows up waving the Maple Leaf believing that Trump was wrong and Trudeau was right.
Mean while Carney was selected and placed in power by Trudeau and non-Canadian power brokers while the CBN gaslighted the shit out of real Canadian citizens. They will figure this out one day but it will be too late. They have been invaded and taken over and now Carney wants Canada to sign a suicide pact with the EU and the WEF. The US was on the same track. Manufacture next to nothing and turn into a service economy all driven by the green energy cult. Then we found ourselves lacking the ability to survive except by the 'goodness' of the actual producers. Trump recognized the problem but the dem socialist never will. Canada still does not recognize the problem but they certainly will before long.
