Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Regarding Greenland; the best RE deal of the century,
All cash? What will be sliced from the budget to cover the cost? Mortage? Term and rates please? US tax serfs to buy it and watch as Trump gives it over to some entertainment or development company to run it and enjoy profits? Are Don Jr., Lara, Kushner and Larry Fink involved? Hypersonic missiles pretty much make the defense of CONUS scheme pretty much a scam, or will be be putting maritime tollgates at the Davis Strait? This inquiring tax serf wants to know the deal before it is sealed. Whole milk is good. Raw milk (if you can get it) is better. With fresh baked cookies or PBJ sandwich. Mmm, so good!
How far will Britain go? How many people do they arrest every week for posting bad think memes? Didn’t they detain a man, who while on vacation in the USA, posted a photo of himself with a shotgun. They worked pretty hard to cover up the Muslim child rapists. I don’t think it takes to much imagination to understand where England is heading. Read the history of Mao and his great revolution. Those now seeking power in the West, are of the same mindset.
Pretty wild to watch the destruction of the West, in real time. Will the American people be foolish enough to return the democrats to power, this November? And finish us off in 2028, with a democrat president? I really don’t like the odds. I just paid $2.49 a gallon for regular gas. A year ago it was $4.29 a gallon. Thank you president Trump.
How far will Britain go? How far have they already gone? Using the police to harass people for their online or public expressions of speech? Putting them through legal jeopardy? Incarcerating them and fining them?
What is left, besides public shunning, encouragement of mass harassment and mob attacks, and / or the death penalty? I would say, across the spectrum of Freedom of Expression, that Britain has already gone most of the distance to the Final Solution. Prove me wrong. The global strategy, the WEF, the New World Order, whatever you want to call it is pushing hard the claim that Trump wants to invade Greenland. As a theatrical component to this some of the EU countries have moved actual troops to Greenland! When have they ever done this before? They didn't even move troops to Ukraine when they were under threat or actually invaded. This is pure theater. Why? Because they hate Trump and don't like the U.S. They like us well enough too sell trillions in products to us while preventing us from entering their markets. And that is why they hate Trump; because in his effort to make America great again he want fair trade and does not want to be a dumping ground for European countries anymore.
Right now it is difficult to understand the furor over Greenland. But soon it will become obvious. China is poised to make a move on Greenland and that is why Trump preempted them. But while is was smart to begin to protect Greenland by moving first it is difficult to see what the issue is. So what is the problem? Let's look at what the globalists have done very recently. Canada's Carney is literally begging China to become it's major trading partner which means Chinese workers, spies and factories IN Canada. Australia is doing the same thing. And the EU is also partnering with China in ways that will harm then and harm the U.S. This is intentional on the part of China AND the globalist in charge in those Western countries. The goal by the globalist is to diminish the U.S. power and to loot our wealth. But the goal of China is to destroy us and take over not just our country but the world. ALL those world leaders standing up against us on Greenland are part of the conspiracy. Not their people, the leaders. They are part of the New World Order and their motives are greed and power. China is using them and China's motive is word domination. But in the next few years China will make a move on Greenland. It may be a exact mirror image of what Carney is doing, i.e. expanded trade with China moving people and assets to Greenland or it may be something more sinister. But either way it will soon be obvious that Trump is right. My suspicion is that first China will move hundreds of "fishing" boats to the North Atlantic. Each fishing boat will actually be a soy and military boat. They will wipe out the fisheries and gather information. They will in some cases actually enter Greenland waters. And there will be mother boats or possibly even Chinese war ships that will accompany them, not at first but after some trumped up event. What could stop this in it's tracks? A united NATO and Greenland becoming a protectorate of the U.S. OneGuy: They didn't even move troops to Ukraine when they were under threat or actually invaded.
That's because Ukraine is not a NATO country. Greenland, as territory of Denmark, IS a NATO country, meaning NATO countries are obligated to defend it. OneGuy: China is poised to make a move on Greenland and that is why Trump preempted them. Greenland is under the NATO umbrella. If they were to be attacked, NATO is already required to defend them. Under a 1951 agreement, the United States can set up military bases there. It doesn't require annexation. Threatening their sovereignty has made Greenland and the rest of the world less safe. It is a war crime to attack another country without provocation, but Trump has given permission to every autocrat to take what they want. Because, apparently, America really doesn't believe that people have unalienable rights. Frankly, Greenlanders just aren't into you. Piss poor narrative.....

Seems to me that this is a big part of the problem: "I was supposed to chase my dreams, to become something, to be someone, because being a wife and mother wasn’t enough." Part of the antidote maybe? "It wasn’t until I had a child and held her in my arms, raised her, and watched her grow that I realized what a lie it all was..." Canada also has a program with Indians entering on student visas, and then just finding under-the table work and staying on illegally, taking jobs in the fast-food industry that should be available to Canadian teens as entry to the job market. Our problem is that foreign students are allowed to work a certain number hours per week, so they all get part-time jobs and take away opportunities for Canadians. At one point, they were allowed to work 40 hours per week (and when would they be studying, you ask), but it's been cut back to 20 hours per week. Still too much; they are supposed to have sufficient financial resources to keep themselves without having to work. But we're also hearing that a fair few of them have discovered the local food banks and are openly boasting about "free food".
Very much back in the day, an offspring ended up studying in eastern Europe. Program kid wanted very restricted in Canada and the US/West Indies programs way beyond budget. Turned out to be the best decision kid made; excellent program and the European style of studies and exams well suited to a kid who'd done speech and debate in high school. However, kid was there strictly on a student visa which meant no working at all and was expected to leave once received diploma. Kid complied; had a great four years; came home and has done very well in career. |
