Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

re: 5:00 dinner
I get home from work at 4:30 and like to eat as soon as possible. Dinner at 5:00 is ideal. Kirk divisive and men to women... Kirk, amongst others, recognized the divisive nature of the progressive/socialist/marxists that have permeated western culture through their control of government. For the GOD free there is no perversion or behavior they could not accept and no gutter deep enough to hold their excesses. They used government to deconstruct both the educational and medical establishments. What was left after their works was ineffective, irrational, and unaffordable. They want to keep it that way. Starve that beast of resources.
QUOTE: Was Kirk ‘Divisive’—or Did He Simply Say What Millions Believe? Those categories are not exclusive. Kirk: “I have a very, very radical view on this, but I can defend it, and I’ve thought about it. We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s.” Now, even if you agree with his sentiment, Kirk himself said it was a radical view. Certainly, Blacks and their liberal allies who lived through the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement would see the statement as divisive and reactionary. Rep. Troy A. Carter Sr: “As a son of the South, I know how deeply such words can wound. They open old scars, justify injustice, and threaten the unity of our future. That is why I reject both violence and hate speech. QUOTE: The Constitution, as originally drafted, aimed to limit government authority and protect citizens from the coercive power of the state. After generations of chattel slavery, the Fourteen Amendment granted Congress additional powers to enforce Equal Protection. Then, after generations more oppression, Congress finally acted. There is no doubt that the South and other had refused to comply with the acquiescence of much of the American public. Something had to change. A great struggled ensued with bloody sacrifice. The bloody sacrifice was the civil war. Unfortunately, the progressive/socialist/marxists, who promoted race division, mandated a civil rights law that came with quotas rather than merit. Then mandated welfare programs that required there be no man in the household which destroyed the family. All that time and money was wasted when you observe the outcome. They still fight merit and they won't cut programs, hatred is taught in the education system and the marxists want the blame to fall on the Charlie Kirks rather than the dysfunctional marxists who constructed the race/gender warfare. Marx, Gramsci, and the current education/msm complex are proud of that accomplishment.
LOL. Did you even read the article? Most of the article was addressing the very words you quoted. You simply restated the argument and ignored the defense presented in the article.
We already know what the leftist talking points are since every one of them seems to be repeating the same lines. At least try to bring some value by offering something that's not repeated in every liberal media. You're just redundant. https://reason.com/2025/09/21/the-fccs-involvement-in-canceling-jimmy-kimmel-was-unbelievably-dangerous-ted-cruz-says/
I don't care what side of the fence you are on, you should be alarmed!,, but maybe I am wrong I don't know The FCC mandated nothing. This fight is between Disney/ABC and Kimmel. What does his contract say. Who is liable for what is said. Both are woke and with luck they will both go broke.
You're referencing an article that's referencing a podcast that's referencing a bureaucrat bragging about himself on another podcast. There's no story here.
I think this is a case of Brendan Carr trying to act like a tough guy and stand out in the Trump administration, but not knowing how to do that. He sounded like a moron and should be fired from his position, but I don't think he or the government had anything to do with Kimmel getting suspended. Agreed completely. Carr needs to go. At best it showed terrible judgement--it was an idiotic thing to say and handed the left a talking point when they're on their heels about free speech.
At worst he actually thinks FCC should be involved in things like this. Instead of increasing the power and scope of FCC he should be doing what Sec. McMahon is doing at Dept. of Ed.--working to decrease it. You won't see a single Democrat working to decrease the power of FCC--they secretly hope Carr oversteps so they can bring the hammer down when they regain power. "Law Enforcement is a Sickness" reminds me of Perchik's statement to Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. "Money is the world's curse."
"May the Lord smite me with it and may I never recover!" Back in the 60’s, my dad was a union pipe fitter at construction sites in Boston. They usually started work early, often by 7 am in the summer, and he was home by 4 pm, or earlier, and wanted supper by 5 pm.
Kirk wasn't divisive he was honest and that did indeed offend the left who are dishonest. The proof that Kirk wasn't offensive is that the left is forced to make up lies about him or take bits and pieces of things he has said out of context.
The most divisive and offensive thing to the left is that Kirk believed in god, believed in the family and the truth. He was too honest and too nice to be allowed to live. The left intends a violent revolution and Kirk was converting young people to peace and love. He had to go. We are in the early to middle stages of a leftist, communist revolution and all disagreement to it must be crushed. To be most effective and not expose the left's master plan all assassinations must appear to be by crazy lone wolves. All social media sites have been flooded with anti-Trump, anti-Kirk, anti-religion paid activists. The effect of the far left funding of this has been massive. They spread wild eyed lies and slurs which are picked up by the useful idiots and spouted whenever there is an argument. Now that Antifa has been called out for what they are they will become more violent and more secretive. |
