I haven't seen any such news items for quite awhile. Perhaps Tesla vandalism is no longer newsworthy?

Do not assume this is just poor tactical choices on their part. The Democrats have been infiltrated by socialist/communist and their policy of demanding that all members vote as a block has made them all pro-Communists. Many "moderate" Democrats see this but because of their culture and policies they have no choice but to fully support their party right or wrong. Their focus is on winning not America, not the citizens, not the constitution, winning and taking power...period.

Now that the big beautiful bill has been passed with the provision to stop 1.5 million illegals from using Medicare removed; ICE should use the Medicare files to find every illegal using Medicare and deport them. Use their own crimes against them. Do the same with SS, use the database to identify illegal immigrants who have stolen SS numbers and find them and deport them. Do the same with the IRS. Illegals like to use the IRS to claim multiple dependents so that the system pays them instead of taxes them. Use that database to find them and deport them.

You probably mean Medicaid. Undocumented people are not eligible for Medicaid, except for medical emergencies. However, some states pay for medical care for their undocumented residents out of state funds. The new bill would penalize such states, meaning the states would probably drop the coverage.

Illegal immigrants are not eligible for Medicaid. I'm betting there are enough fake SSNs in the system that a lot of them are getting it anyway. Lots of cleanup needed on the Medicaid / Medicare / Social Security aisle.

A lot of Blue states provide coverage regardless of immigration status, so Red states would be more likely to have fakes in the Medicaid system. While undoubtedly there are some, evidence is that while fake SSNs may be often used for work, more stringent requirements make it much less frequent for accessing Medicaid.

Regardless, whether one supports universal health coverage or not, corruption in the system should be addressed.

Re "The Secret of Good Grandparenting": that's horsefeathers. Certainly it's the parents duty to enforce standards, but grandparents have a role in enforcing their own standards.
Mum was 99 when she passed. And up until that time, she had no problem with letting her standards be known. The grandkids knew, understood, and are better for having to observe the standards of a different day.
We, also, expect the grandbrats to observe certain standards in our presence. Actually, suspect the parents rather appreciate our being the "bad guys" over rules they're too tired to enforce.
