Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Thank you for the server fix, Bird Dog, the site loads much faster now. It's appreciated!
Yesterday was good. Slowed way down today. For me anyway.
re Is Civil War Coming to Europe?
I doubt it. We have been seeing predictions like this for 30 years. So far? Nothing. You think they will risk their easy lives, early retirement and pensions on civil war? What would they fight with? Knives, rocks, bricks, fists? How far will that get them? And not only would they be fighting immigrants they would be fighting their governments as well. No .... no civil war. I think the Euroweenies are resigned to their fate to be tossed into the garbage can of history. They will go quietly into the good night. Antisemitism and mental illness. Early in my career I learned that delusions tended to come from the surrounding environment, including the political environment. In the 70's it was the CIA; when the Godfather movies came out it was the Mafia. Then Satanists, satellites, embedded chips, computers. Some had a constant presence for decades: the FBI, family members, churches they used to attend, terrorists, drug dealers. Few delusions are bizarre - you can see where they came from, at least.
Paranoia about the Jews was so infrequent that I expected it was on its way out. If only. It has come back with a vengeance. I can't hold one person responsible for all of it, but if I were to pick one who made antisemitism "respectable" again it would be Jimmy Carter. He remained popular among those Jews who had switched to worshiping liberalism, but slowly the mask came off. Lavish Reward for Murdering White Kid
QUOTE: It appears clear that Karmelo Anthony murdered high school star athlete Austin Metcalf. The crime took place in front of dozens of witnesses. The dispute is over whether the murder was bad or good, considering that Austin Metcalf committed privilege by being white and Anthony is a person of politically preferred pigmentation. A Texas teen charged in the stabbing death of a track star is holed up in an exclusive gated community in a $900,000 house – despite claiming to have limited financial means as he convinced a judge to release him from jail. The family is renting the mansion for $3,500/month. Sure beats a jail cell. . . . Looks like Anthony was also rewarded with a new car: ‘He got a new car. If you look at the license plate, it’s got a paper tag and it says it expires June 4,’ [a local] resident, who asked to remain anonymous, shared. GoFundMe donations — currently closing in on half a $million — have the Anthonys in the mood to spend in a frenzy: Throughout the day, deliveries for the Anthonys arrived, with Amazon drivers making multiple stops. https://moonbattery.com/lavish-reward-for-murdering-white-kid/ QUESTION? Does this reward for a black on white murder give blacks an incentive to murder more whites, thinking they will reap similar payoffs? Fits in Dutch culture... The Europeans are almost as slow as the Democratic socialist party in the US. Multiculturalism is a non-functional secular disaster costing obscene amounts of money and crime.
Foreigners can protest... NO. It promotes invasion and destruction. Multiculturalism does not work. Send them home. Are Foreigners Entitled To The Same Protest Rights As Natural American Citizens?
Foreigners are entitled to the same Protest Rights in the USA as Natural American Citizens are entitled to when residing in foreign countries. When I worked in Latin America, I was quite aware that I was not working in MY COUNTRY. I did not initiate conversations about politics. I would never have considered participating in a demonstration: it was not my country. Had I participated in a demonstration, I could have been accused---rightfully so--of cultural imperialism. Lori Berenson was a lefty American who believed that her blue passport would give her carte blanche to participate in politics in foreign countries. The government of Peru did not agree, and gave her a 20 year sentence for assisting a lefty Peruvian terrorist group. Even though as a furriner I did not seek out politics, sometimes I got exposed to it. When I was working in Guatemala, I was invited to spend the night at a house next to the Biotopo del Quetzal. At that house I met Mario Dary Rivera, who was largely responsible for establishing the Biotopo. Several months after I met him--and after I had left the country--he was killed, I was later told, by guerrillas. re; AI Bots
The only people making money off of AI (so called) trading bots are the people selling them. Those are scams. There is no way that a set of algorythms is going to beat an educated and attentive day trader. And SPY is going to outperform almost any investor in the long run. Benjamin Graham is the only long term investor that made it through the 1929-32 crash whole. Bernard Barush, another well-known investor of the period, made it through most of the fall but reentered the markets too early and got wiped. A program is not likely to fare any better than nearly all market investors. Buy high and sell low is the inevitable end of most investors.
