We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Joe Rogan


I never watch the guy. Nothing against him, just too busy. But I see at least 37 million watched his 3-hour Trump conversation. Trump seemed to enjoy it - but Trump likes to interact with people. Rogan is not a Trump fan, by the way, but he is civil. He sure is popular.


Kamala Harris claims she will go on his podcast, but only for one hour with rights to edit it. That's not the way Rogan works.


Who knows whether her appearance on Rogan would help or hurt her prospects?

If not, I'd take better than even odds on "hurts."

Oh, and Rogan would probably not hesitate to release the full unedited transcript. Cuz word salad is a menu item now.

Imus had good interviews and managed it in ten minutes by not inserting himself except as a rhetorical device to prod something out.

Rogan appaently has a lot more time on his hands than I do. A thicket with no promise of game, as Wm. Empson puts it somewhere.

I rarely have time for Rogan, unless it's an exceptional guest. I watched the Trump interview, and might watch Vance.

Say what you will, Rogan has a talent of drawing out his guests by starting conversations, rather than by asking questions. It's a unique style - more like the process of getting to know a new friend by spending time with them, discussing experiences, trading insights, and so on. Not for everybody. But it's not an accident that he has the #1 podcast.

as Joe's demographic leans heavily young and male.

Do a search on Rogan's anti-white race quotes.

Do a search on any comedian's race quotes. Then, do a search on any comedian's sexist or homophobic quotes. They're comedians. Their job is to use language to push limits and provoke outrage.
