Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The IDF made a brilliant tactical move by attacking Hezbollah rocket sites just before a massive attack on Israel. Kudos to the Israeli intelligence people.

I think it was a attempted political assassination of someone in the Saudi Royal family. The shooting was to draw away the police and to provide cover for some 3 dozen Saudi nationals who were involved in the plot. Paddock was a patsy and likely not involved in either the shooting or the planned assassination. The answer to why the coverup is money and politics. At the federal level we don't want to alienate the Saudis and to make that easier to swallow every involved politician and high level government official was promised cash to shut up.

I've been listening to Brett Weinstein and Heather Heying on Dark Horse since the Covid monstrosity. They're old school liberals who are interested in the truth. (I wish they believed in God...but no one's perfect. They're well worth your time, especially when they discuss the failures of modern science and academia.

I was discharged from the hospital after 3 weeks. Had a hole drilled into my skull to relive pressure from a large and growing hematoma that was causing seizures. Feeling great and I can walk again. Wonderful to have such a supportive family in one's older years.
