The whole HIT/weightlifting long term health benefit versus moderate activity level debate is consistently weighed down by confounding. People have to have maintained a certain level of health and fitness are the only ones that will engage in HIT/weightlifting in their later years. No one (or almost no one) who experiences chronic bad health in or before middle age is going to adopt a HIT/weightlifting routine ever.
Additionally, the benefit to a 65-year-old being able to squat 300 lbs. versus being able to squat 200 lbs. is not obvious in most cases. Seems likely that the wear and tear of HIT/weightlifting on anyone, and especially on older people far outweighs the benefits and increased immediate. And that doesn't even take the nutricial and caloric demands that such workouts would make on bodies whose ability to absord and matolize nutrients.

It's true, you can't make someone who doesn't want to improve their lot in life go out and do the work needed. But getting the word out as much as possible doesn't hurt. And, done correctly, the benefits of barbell training for strength as we age far outweigh the negatives, not even close.

Quite so: There is a market incentive for people to migrate to the United States to find work and for employers to hire additional workers as the economy expands. Most migrants have mixed motives, but many have legitimate asylum claims under U.S. and international law. If someone makes an asylum claim, then it has to be adjudicated under U.S. law. (During COVID, they could be kept out under Title 42 emergency health authority.)

That is not correct. Under U.S. law, 8 U.S. Code § 1158, “To establish that the applicant is a refugee within the meaning of such section, the applicant must establish that race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion was or will be at least one central reason for persecuting the applicant.”

I love the smell of a conspiracy theory in the morning. The latest one is that Joe Biden has had some kind of medical issue making it impossible for him to appear in public or perform his duties and that the government is hiding this. One indicator the conspiracy theorists are pointing to is that Joe is now about 2 inches taller then he was 10 days ago. The theory is they have a stand-in for Joe who looks enough like him to fool you but he is unfortunately a little taller so please don't notice. I think something suspicious is happening and our government is not being transparent.
