We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. The Democrats are vile people. This is like raping a woman and then declaring that she isn't a virgin anymore. The Democrats illegally and immorally used the power of the state and corrupt DA's and judges to bring lawfare against Trump and then brag that Trump is a felon. The people see through this and it makes them angry at the far left. Go ahead and keep bragging about how you brought the massive power of the state down in this innocent man's head just so you could steal the next election, see how that works for you.

College students have always had a lack of knowledge about American history and civics.

MF readers are nowhere near a representative sample of even their own generations of college students. The percentage of people who routinely engage intellectual topics for others to discuss is a distinct minority, and even we see the past through rose-colored glasses.

The current generation may be worse...but there is no evidence for it.
