We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Easy to be bored by Biden stories, there are way too too many of them. Blame the MSM, making up for past sins of omission and commission, trying to cover their tracks and maybe win a Pulitzer if their work leads to Biden's demise. My strategy: Don't read or watch anything that has 'Biden' in the title...

"I am getting bored by the Biden stories"... The media and dems are pretending they didn't recognize the problem much earlier. They are merely catching up with the reality we all saw and that has embarrassed their gatekeeping skills. Now they are overdoing it... and it is embarrassing and boring.

I lived for about a month in a house on Telegraph in Oakland. Violence and robberies inside the house prompted me to get out of the house and out of Oakland. That was in 1969.


Coincidentally, my niece and her husband rent a house in the Piedmont section of Oakland, which then and now is a high-rent district and hopefully is still low-crime. Time will tell.

Oakland fell a long time ago. It has gotten worse but it hasn't been safe there for over 50 years. In those 50 years dozens, perhaps hundreds of other cities have become Democrat/black ruled and are devolving into shithole cities. It is what they do. The poor black voters elect black leaders because they are black but almost without exception all of the black leaders a crooks. They steal and divert the taxpayers money and beg the federal government for more. Stay out of those cities. Not only will the thugs beat you up and rob you but the police will too.

Not EV, but TESLA. Have owned S and X for nine years . Best best care I've ever had . Quiet, charge at Tesla supercharger for FREE (life of the car). No maintenance except new tires at 40K miles. No maintenance. No exhaust blowing in your kids or grandkids lungs!. Your welcome.
It' s not a car; it's my landskimmer.
Kids love the new Type 3, but not buying it yet.
Although at 34K, good deal.

My brother's Tesla was rear ended, damaging the trunk. He couldn't just drive it, in NV (little danger of rain) because the trunk wouldn't shut and there was DANGER (at least according to the computer).
So he drove his exe's 91 Nissan Sentra (he got it in the divorce) for about 8 months waiting for a replacement trunk.
Lousy supply chain for a relatively new vehicle.
He's lucky it wasn't totaled.
One of the reasons my insurance has doubled in the past 3 years is because EV's are, my understanding, more likely to be totaled than gas powered vehicles due to the greater un-reparability of EVs, and their replacement costs. And the cost increases of pretty much everything else. EVs will always be a niche market...they're not for everyone.
