Let's not forget that sometime around 2021 retired Navy personnel launched a full out attack on Annapolis. The reason: in order to accommodate "new recruits", i.e. femaies the school had dropped the requirement for Celestial Navigation! Yes siree bob. The US NAVAL academy no longer required a working knowledge of celestial navigation. That was a science/art well understood for probably 3,000 years, but graduates of our NAVAL ACADEMY could no longer master this skill so it was dropped from graduation requirements.
Now, let's think about this a minute. Let's just say you are in charge of an aircraft carrier and your computer, or your navigation system, or the gov't satellite, or all three, go down: now where the hell is the world's finest Navy? Well they don't really know because those girls weren't very good at the STEM classes! The old sailors got organized and demanded the US Naval academy to come to it's senses. But without that assault from outside of the academy all those billions of dollars of navy ships would still be out there with no one understanding how to navigate by the stars. Just sayin
