Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

'Boston On The Brink As Millennial Mayor Pushes Decriminalization'
Translation: decriminalization of Black people. "Elementary Schools Ban Tag, Football, and Fun During Recess - "It really feels as though maybe we've lost touch with what's developmentally appropriate," says one Montgomery County mom." When I quit teaching elementary school about 50 years ago the district had begun to remove all the playground equipment when the kids might get hurt with. First was the climbing geodesic dome, then the slides, merry go round, then I think the swings right before I left. They were no allowed to play tag or chasse even 50 years ago. No wonder children have pent up energy and aggression.
Just add more Ritalin to more students for the Zombie effect.
I worked in Germantown for about a year-and-a-half in the mid-2000s before escaping back to free America. Before I left, the Montgomery County Council was debating banning smoking everywhere in Montgomery County, including in private residences. None of my fellow citizens seemed to have a problem with the local government having that much say over their private lives. I got out of there and headed back South as quick as I could.

'Secretary of Men's Behavior Change'
Almost without exception the cases that they refer to are cases where the perp is mentally ill. 95% of murders are committed by mentally ill people. Now imagine that you are so stupid, so out of touch, so committed to believe that an entire group is responsible for what mentally ill people do that you create a government position of power to discriminate against the 99.99% of that group who commits no crime in a vain attempt to reduce the crime committed by mentally ill people who will be unaffected by your pronunciations. THIS is what government has come to. If you don't vote these people out they will destroy civil society. They are blind, have no common sense and allow their biases to rule their minds. Can you imagine the outrage if there was created a department of Women’s Behavior Change? It goes without saying the men tormenting and killing women, is a very bad thing. As it has been for the entire history of civilization. It doesn’t seem to go without saying that women tormenting men is a bad thing. I blame feminists for the decline in Western Civilization over the past 150 years. It’s way past time feminists take a long look in the mirror.
QUOTE: Hinderaker: Guilty . . . Democrats knew that they could impanel a rabidly anti-Trump jury in Manhattan, so they did so. New York City is where Trump made his home for decades. New York City is where Trump worked for decades. New York City is where Trump's crimes were committed. Consequently, the people of New York City constitute a jury of his peers. Regardless, it was clear that Trump committed fraud. The only tricky part was establishing that he did it for election purposes. But it wasn't really all that tricky, as testimony and audio recordings showed his involvement and why he did it. QUOTE: Jonathan Turley Has a Lot to Say About the Trump Verdict . . . When they were reading those guilty verdicts, the one thing that we didn't know is really what he was found guilty of. Trump was found guilty of New York Penal Law § 175.10, a.k.a. fraud. You're welcome. QUOTE: Because if you remember, the judge allowed the jury to find guilt on any one of the three secondary crimes That is incorrect. The jury did not determine guilt on the predicate crimes. The statute does not require a finding of guilt on the predicate crime, only that the fraud was committed with the intention to commit or cover up another crime. The other crime may never have been accomplished. (See burglary example below.) Intention is the element of the statute. However, there are various "means" or ways of invoking that element. Consider the New York case concerning this very issue, De Vonish v. Keane. De Vonish was charged with burglary, which means breaking and entering with the intent to commit another crime. The other crime might have been to steal or to assault or to vandalize. The jury may have disagreed on which of these predicates were De Vonish's actual intention. However, if the jury agreed that he broke and entered with the intention of committing another crime, that was sufficient for conviction under the burglary statute, New York Penal Law § 140.30. In other words, in the law, there is a distinction between an element, which requires unanimity, and a "means" or ways the element can be established. If a criminal robbery statute requires the use of force or the threat of force to convict, then depending on the exact wording of the statute and the relevant judicial precedent, that can be considered a single element or as two elements. However, most jurisdictions see that as a single element with two “means” or ways the single element of the crime can be established. In other words, the jury may disagree on whether actual force or just the threat of force was used in fact, but can unanimously find the defendant guilty of burglary. If Tony Soprano commits fraud in New York to cover up another crime, but that crime might be murder-for-hire or extortion or bribery, the intention of the coverup is the element, while the predicate crime is a "means". The jury doesn't have to sort through Soprano's multiple, overlapping criminal motives. The crime is fraud. The predicate just enhances the level of the crime. In Trump's trial, the element is the intention to commit or conceal another crime, which requires unanimity. The predicate is a "means" or way the predicate is established, which does not require unanimity. That doesn't mean Trump's conviction can't be appealed on this basis. However, New York has already ruled on the issue, though perhaps there is a wrinkle about the particular application in Trump's case. The federal courts may see it differently, but the federal courts also make the distinction between elements and means. But, if predicate crimes are generally considered a separate elements, then it might very well call into question the convictions of people like De Vonish who break into homes carrying switchblades. Trump was found guilty of listening to lawyers 34 times.
Spare us your bullshit, Quibble-DickZ and go away. You're annoying the adults. You aren't any better at making up crimes than Bragg or the judge.
NJSoldier: You aren't any better at making up crimes than Bragg or the judge.
Powerful argument—nearly as effective as shooing flies. Do you disagree on how the law treats elements and means of a law? On what basis? Examples were provided for discussion. You're still attached to your Russia, Russia, Russia narrative. And like the Madow cringe artist, you still can't accept the reality of the lawfare thugs creating and marketing the whole hoax and the current hoax. In due time the Bragg hoax will suffer the same lawfare failure. All of this is nothing more than Obama and Holder weaponizing the law to cover up their spy crimes. Neither the law nor the republic exist anymore. It is lawfare theatre for the retarded.
re: Authentically Jewish Defense...
I agree with the original article. If Israel is attacked by a nation they have repeatedly tried to make peace with, they should conquer and overtake the land after victory. I think almost any means are justified, including carpet bombing of civilian populations. I hold the same view of my own country. I don't think we should go to war with another nation unless we are committed to unconditional surrender of the enemy as quickly as possible. I think what we did to Germany and Japan was acceptable and justified, and if we go to war in the future there is no reason we shouldn't do the same again if will help end the war quickly. jack walter: I think almost any means are justified, including carpet bombing of civilian populations.
"I love the smell of genocide in the morning." If comparing a Vietnam war film script to WW2, to prove a point I just don't know about that but it does seem kinda feeble maybe
RL: If comparing a Vietnam war film script to WW2
It was comparing Gaza to Vietnam. "Smells like . . . victory." Genocide is one of those loaded words that you pull out to help your side win the argument when the facts and common sense is does not favor your position.
War is about two sides committed to kill enough people on the other side so that they give up thus ending the war. The other side intends to kill you, as many of you as it takes so that you beg for peace. If they sense that they are losing they use propaganda to help them win and accuse you of genocide. Well duh! That's what war is, killing all those who fight/attack you before they kill you. If you want to end the genocide sue for peace. If those people living in Gaza want to end the war help Israel find and kill the Hamas terrorists hiding in Gaza and "bingo" the war is over. If you want the war to continue even though the Hamas terrorists are killing your people and stealing the aid for your people then simply continue to aid Hamas and resist the freedom fighters trying to stop the terrorists. There is a simple truth here; no one would defend the terrorists as Zach has done, unless they are pro-terrorism. Zach was stone silent about this issue as day after day, month after month and year after year Hamas committed terrorism/genocide against the Jews. You never saw Zach's post against Hamas's daily firing or missiles into Israel, ever. Only when Israel fights back does this battle suddenly become genocide. OneGuy: Genocide is one of those loaded words that you pull out to help your side win the argument when the facts and common sense is does not favor your position.
Carpet bombing the two million people who live in Gaza would fit the definition of genocide, "the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group." OneGuy: War is about two sides committed to kill enough people on the other side so that they give up thus ending the war. War is about the destruction of the enemy's ability and will to fight, not the destruction of the entire population. OneGuy: That's what war is, killing all those who fight/attack you before they kill you. The proposal was to carpet bomb civilian populations, not killing combatants. OneGuy: {Zachriel} was stone silent about this issue as day after day, month after month and year after year Hamas committed terrorism/genocide against the Jews. That's false. As we have noted before, Hamas is a terrorist organization and is not a viable partner for peace or for any lasting political solution. Israel has a right to exist. However, Israel's actions in Gaza may have caused severe damage to their own security. One of the few major countries still supporting Israel's war in Gaza is the United States, but the situation has put the U.S. president in a politically untenable position. Biden is being hit by the political left and the political right, yet has largely remained committed to Israel. You have no concept of the jihad wars.

That's a good piece from Hinderaker. I would recommend it to everyone. At this risk of projecting, I believe this is the most outraged I have ever seen Hinderaker on a topic. He wants GOP AGs to fight fire with fire and wants to see a barrage of charges filed against corrupt Dems everywhere and particularly Joe Biden. I don't believe the Republicans have the stomach for such action. They would fear it would tarnish their image with moderates. The entire charade is just one more hit to the reputation and credibility of our legal system. It's one more thread in the fabric of America that is being cut by the Dems. feeblemind: He wants GOP AGs to fight fire with fire and wants to see a barrage of charges filed against corrupt Dems everywhere and particularly Joe Biden.
That would erode the rule of law. The proper venue is an appeal through the courts. The law is a blunt and imperfect tool, but it is almost always better than the alternative. "That would erode the rule of law."
Funniest thing I've read all day. "That would erode the rule of law."
That's comical as hell coming from someone who for months has been justifying the pursuit and charging and suing of a man in a way that no one else would have been pursued and charged and sued, by a prosecutor and AG who ran on platforms of going after that very man. A man pursued and charged not for what he did but for who he is. Did you abandon your principles or just not have any to start with? By the way, congrats on participating in the destruction of the republic. A job well on the way to completion! SK: That's comical as hell coming from someone who for months has been justifying the pursuit and charging and suing of a man in a way that no one else would have been pursued and charged and sued, by a prosecutor and AG who ran on platforms of going after that very man.
It's always cute when people suddenly discover that the law is a blunt and imperfect tool only after it ensnares rich, old, white people. Trump was charged and convicted because he committed fraud. However, even if you disagree with the verdict or think the process was unfair, the point remains that the solution remains within the rule of law, not with abuse of the law. The trial court and its judgment are subject to appeal. It's also cute when (reading other forums) 'patriotic', 'small-government' conservatives openly call for the Caesar option. I don't think 'cute' means what you think it means.

From the UK Telegraph:
QUOTE: Former President Donald Trump is “officially” a convicted felon! Can’t you hear the exclamations of joy and relief? This proves what I have been saying all along! Democrats miss the point: once again they have demonstrated how corrupt official has become. This case has been a vivid reminder that under Democrat control, institutions that we rely upon to protect our liberty, do the opposite of what they are supposed to do. . . . officialdom does not serve the people, it rules over them. Official has become a synonym for elite, irrational, and out of touch . . . Now, the leader of this movement, Donald J. Trump, has now been declared officially guilty in a trial that never should have proceeded in the first instance, a trial that itself has become a symbol of institutional corruption and a rallying cry for reform. . . . The judge on the case is an “acting justice”, appointed by Democrats and who would need to run for election in 2028 in order to keep his place on the bench. This was a legal proceeding in form, but not substance. The result was pretty much a foregone conclusion The rage over the Trump conviction is incandescent.

Ya think? Thanks to those who argue with the troll, thought he/she/it had left. I only read your responses, the troll's aren't worth reading especially since they are usually woke talking points.
Lawfare, corruption in our legal system and politically motivated corrupt DAs are destroying our justice system. The DC courts are a good example. If you are a Republican/conservative and or white and are charged with a crime in DC you will lose the case and go to jail without regard to guilt or even any broken laws. NY City said, hold my beer, and one upped DC and joined the anti-conservative, anti-white corrupt justice system and convicted a president and candidate of 34 non-crimes to demonstrate that they are even more corrupt than DC. Georgia is so jealous and if only their corrupt DA had been a little less corrupt and lawless they could have garnered the honor of being the most corrupt anti-white justice system in America, Your turn California, St. Louis and Minneapolis.
What will the Republicans in congress do to try to restore justice and honor to our broken system??? Little to nothing. As long as it doesn't interfere with their own plans for wealth and power they will do very little. MTG will likely speak out and shame the do nothing Republicans but her days are limited for having the guts to rock the boat. A few Republicans will speak out but in the end nothing will be fixed. And over the next few years every Democrat run city and state will follow DC's and NY City's lead and become corrupt anti-conservative, anti-white cesspools of corrupt justice systems. Too bad America it was a nice legal system you had there! |
