We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. You gather what you sow


This WSJ left column is a really good summation of the pro-Hamas, anti-semetic protests showing up on our college campuses. It is especially effective for not overstating the issue. Personally, I am glad for these protests -- as ugly as they are -- because they bring out into the open what the left really believes, which maybe the most vulgar form of marxism to ever show its head. (A violent strain of trangenderism will arrive in due time.) The only effective antidote to this stuff is unremitting social rejection and ridicule.

The State encourages the free and open public display of sentiment because

(1) It allows the disaffected to have a voice in society,

(2) Some ideas so expressed may be point the way for improvement in public life, and (most importantly),

(3) When push comes to shove, the State will know who to round up to be disappeared or put into concentration camps.

Mixed feelings on this. I generally support Israel, but I don't necessarily support the idea that criticism of Israel is always anti-Semitic by default.

Yes. I agree. It does reveal a facet of leftist belief.

OTOH does the coverage of these hatefests protests tend to make them glamorous and attract more followers?

The so-called protests are part of the war on Israel. The various Arab groups are not the victims, not the good guys but rather are the self proclaimed and eagerly willing enemy of not just Israel but of America too. They lie about what is happening in Gaza because that is what they do. Imagine if you can a terrorist organization so horrible that they would use hospitals and schools to hide in and attack Israel from because they hope their own people would be killed and maimed when Israel tries to defend themselves. No imagine the incredible duplicity and stupidness of those pro-terrorist demonstrators in America who both deny that fact and deny that Hamas committed a disgusting unprovoked attack on innocent civilians in Israel. That level of evil and stupidity is unprecedented. But yet, a new level of stupidity is approaching new heights and that is non-Arab, non-Muslim Americans sympathizing with and demonstrating with the evil rapists against Israel. Call it antisemitism, call it hate, call it terrorism, I don't care, it is evil and stupid which history shows us is a deadly combination.

Arrest all of those who were trespassed from campuses so that you can determine who are not citizens and deport them. The rest go through the legal system just as anyone else in America would have to for the same crime. Let them demonstrate peacefully and legally or if the chose to break the law arrest them.

How I wish this were true. It will certainly help on the margins. At the core is authoritarian tyranny, and they label ridicule as disinformation. And they’ll come up with other clichés to hide the truth, to persecute the truth tellers. The natural ally to the authoritarian tyrant is Islam. Fourteen hundred years of history presents a clear picture. Islam will try and conquer you. Islam may not have invented, by any means necessary, but they have worked diligently to perfect it. Look at the atrocities of 7 October for recent examples.

Notice that the Left never wags their fingers at Islam, shames them for colonialism?

The only way to defeat evil, is with the help of the Trinity. The age that we live in calls for spiritual warfare. Repent and ask the Lord for mercy. Our country needs a great awakening.

80% of the population doesn't even know these protests are taking place. Social rejection and ridicule doesn't exist, for the most part. It would, but people just don't realize it's happening.

It's not the only antidote, either. We should refuse immigration from a long lost of countries. We should deport any foreign student who is at these protests. We should ban Islam from our prisons. We should impeach and remove any judge who attempts to stop these actions. These are simple steps that any serious society would take.

Ultimately, the cause of the protests is the establishment of a European Ashkenazi colony in Palestine, with the concomitant ethnic cleansing and genocide of the native Palestinian people.

Neither the Brits (the colonial masters) nor the nascent UN (still a wartime alliance) had the authority to establish a Jewish colony nor to displace the natives. By 1945, the Age of Empire was over, and the existing colonies in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia would soon be liberated.

Also, this is not a Jewish/Muslim problem. The Ashkenazi are systematically conducting ethnic cleansing and genocide against the native minority Christian community, too. The openly stated goal of Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, Smotrich and others is to drive all non-Jews out of the land between the Jordan and the Mediterranean.

Unfortunately, a very large majority of Israeli Jews are fully on board with the genocide and ethnic cleansing. They have gone insane.

Tou have everything backwards. The Jews have been there for well over 4000 years. Almost every "Palestinian" there came from the surrounding Arab countries. Literally when a Palestinian goes home to visit a grandfather or old relatives they go to Lebanon or Syria. Almost all of them can trace their arrival in the area we now call Palestine to a date between 1900-1920.
