Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

No country or people should be expected to take in such a large amount of illegals over and over. Our government is doing this to us and should be stopped but there is so much corruption in all aspects of government no one will stop it.
Who wants it? Duh. The politicians who want their votes.
I'll take treason for 1,000, Alex. I am a registered Democrat years ago my party had sane positions on immigration policy. I think things started to change around 1995 however we have been lied to on immigration for decades. Starting with the 1965 immigration act which turned out to be exactly as bad as all the critics prophesized when it was passed and let's not forget the 1986 amnesty of 3 million people when we were told it was only gonna be 300,000 illegal immigrants getting amnesty in exchange for enforcement in the future that never materialized in fact I heard enforcement provisions were removed from the bill the night before it was voted on. Immigration is pretty much all about profit power and punishment that benefits different groups and individuals collectively in the mean time the average voter that wants less legal immigration and zero illegal immigration has no one acting on their behalf. Immigration used to get me upset until I realized that it's never going to change no matter who we vote for until immigration becomes a problem for those people and groups that profit by it and enable it because of profit power and punishment. Certain groups and individuals don't need to see the light they need to feel the heat otherwise we are doomed. Immigration and its effects on the country unlike almost every other single issue people care about is permanent
Nope, it’s not okay. However, the powers that be don’t give a crap about what the average citizen thinks about it. And you’ll never see that picture in any of the major media conglomerates.
There has been 'immigration' legislation since 1965 and the last I remember was under Regan. It was AMNESTY FIRST and them reform. Well, the democrats got their amnesty but reform never occurred. That is pretty much what Biden is promoting now. He has the tools but will NOT use them. All 3 branches can piss off, I am done with their theatre on immigration.
I think politicians have agreed to let it happen because without population growth there is no economic growth. Zero or negative population growth is happening all over the world as women choose to have only a few or no children.
Now there is another way to spur population growth and that is with financial/tax incentives to current Americans, but the politicians are too dumb to realize that. Europe will not be Europe in 20-30 years. It will be a Muslim caliphate without a shot being fired. Europe and probably the UK are doomed. The American border needs to shut completely for years to make up for the millions that Jojo the boy faced dog has let in. It's infuriating.
Our government ignores its own laws and then aids the law breakers. Then the SCOTUS says its okay for the Feds to tear down Texas's razor wire when they try to enforce the law. Voters can't change this. There is no hope. We will be overwhelmed. Vox Day summed it up realistically this morning... immigration is war. https://voxday.net/2024/01/30/you-know-what-they-are/
Get out of your house. Or at the very least let them move in with you. You approve of this shit.... wow!
No, I don't approve of the invasion. I disapprove of you Vox whores spamming the Manosphere.
I quoted a Vox article and that make's me a "Vox Whore"? I read stuff all over the place and if it makes perfect sense, which in this case you agreed with, I might place a link to that item. Calm down and pull yer knickers out of your ass.

"Is this OK?", you ask.
It's just as OK as being elected to office in the majority and refusing to address the issue to your voters, refusing to answer your constituents who overwhelmingly are against it, refusing to explain why you have deliberately encouraged and allowed the activity to continue, while conspiring with the NGO's that pave the way from the Darien Gap in Central America to our southern border, organizing food, shelter, transport - yes, even bringing in their bags for them on trucks. And while instructing your Border Patrol to Do Nothing. Or just as OK, as an elected official in the Opposition Minority Party, refusing to put the issue front and center on the Congressional floor, refusing to put it front and center with the Legacy media until it gets noticed - and yes, refusing to answer your constituents who overwhelmingly are against it. Or just as OK as a member of the Legacy Mainstream Media, refusing to cover the issue and put photos like this one on Page One and Top of the Hour, every day until the politicians can't hide anymore. Or just as OK - as a citizen - to complain, but not go to the trouble to make life absolutely positively miserable for every elected ward heeler out there that isn't doing their job to protect the borders, until they respond and correct their disaster. I wouldn't mind open borders if there was a corresponding elimination of welfare and a huge decrease in the size of government.
Once welfare is not available, only people wanting to work hard and support themselves would still be interested in immigrating. Remember, pretty much all of us are immigrants here (North America... I'm in Canada, eh). The government is incompetant and the legal immigration process is broken. If I can support myself, have skills and am ready to become a taxpaying American citizen, I should be welcomed with opened arms... Instead, the current visa and waiting periods are absurd. |
