Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Said every land developer and interstate highway designer ever, and still no Glory of the Lord. Some frickin' dream that was. Massachusetts Officials Pleading with Private Homeowners to Take in Illegal Aliens
I expect a Second Coming for the Third Amendment. The 3rd Amendment explicitly states "military." The Democrat insurgents who run the country will find some way to force us to house criminaliens.
Not that one single word contained in the U.S. Constitution, means anything to a modern democratic, but: The third amendment was written with the memory of colonists being forced to house British soldiers. An illegal alien, whether they know it or not, is part of an invading army. Thus they are soldiers.
That's what I thought, too. Then I read this. (I bobbled the link previously)
I think that all elected officials should house at least 4 illegals in their homes, plus an extra 4 for every 1000 square feet above 1000. This should also apply to the head of every unelected department in the State. Call us back with a report on your experience after the first year.
I call this the sanctuary home initiative. 'Harvard can brush aside many forms of criticism, but it cannot bear to burn up its prestige.'
As far as I can tell, this is precisely what Harvard has been doing all along, from the first time they sacrificed well-established standards of merit-based selection for their students and faculty. What they are really doing now has nothing to do with their prestige. Their prestige, in the modern age, is premised upon a memory. They are trying, very hard, to avoid the collapse of their facade, their 're-defined prestige' - their Potemkin Village of false virtue, if you will. Some of their donors, those whose success depends on a recognition of merit, have realized this and pulled their funding. But the institution has an enormous endowment to feast upon yet. It's going to be quite a battle, wresting the control of that pile back from the institutional looters, isn't it? Good luck, alumni. As Eric Hoffer famously said, “Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.” My auto insurance is crazy expensive. The biggest expense is uninsured motorists. When I was a kid you literally had to bring proof of insurance to the DMV to register a vehicle AND the insurance company would notify the DMV when your insurance lapsed or was canceled. There were no uninsured motorists then. But now it appears half the drivers don't have insurance and the other half pay for that. Now factor in the millions and millions of illegals flooding our country and the states are eager, salivating, to make sure they get drivers licenses even though we all know that they won't get insurance. Was this always part of the plan? I mean back when we started allowing people to get away with driving without insurance we also opened the flood gates to legal and illegal immigration from shit hole countries. So was this always the intent of our leaders/the elite to allow them all to drive and WE the citizens pay for their privilege???
Taiwan will be China one day
Yes, and likely soon. But also likely that China will need to take out a U.S Navy Carrier strike group to succeed. What will we do about it? That's some 10,000 military, a Carrier with about 85 fighter planes, a few destroyers and support ships and of course a couple of nuclear subs. What would you guess the subs will do after the rest of the strike group is destroyed? Yes, we would like to think that the President or The Pentagon controls those nuclear weapons and they do, but what are the orders for a nuclear sub in a carrier strike group that has just been destroyed in an act of war by our enemies? Let's just say that there will be no bases or ports for any returning Chinese planes or ships to go back to. If that happens is Taiwan then "Chinese" or not? This is fascinating. https://rumble.com/v3wuphd-visiting-an-illegal-chinese-marijuana-farm-with-mike-soboleski.html
Lawfare against Trump can’t run out of energy. It’s fueled by hate, and directed by evil. It’s the closest thing there is to a perpetual motion machine.
“Well, I don’t think that nobody feels, I think many of us know that it’s impossible for him to be the president again with what he’s proposing,” Nancy Pelosi Four years ago, the democrats told us that Trump would not be president. They’re telling us the same things again. China Taiwan. Lai Ching-te was raised by a single mother after his father died when the boy was 2. went to harvard and is an MD.
My wife (Chinese) beleives that Xi will move on Taiwan within the next three yearss, based on Mao's history. Xi's law that all big dogs must be killed is reminiscent of Maos demandd that sparrows and later rats be killed by citizens as a prelude to teh Cultural revolution. If Putin succeeds in getting at least some of Ukraine, its a green light for Xi. In regards to how not mutilating your child became “Child Abuse”.
I think it's all about eliminating the idea of consent. If a child can consent to life-altering surgery, then what can they not consent to? I can find no limit. QUOTE: How Failing To Butcher Your Child Became “Child Abuse” Actually, Georges et al. is arguing against the state intervening when the parents make the decision about the best care for their child. QUOTE: Now once you have let yourself say, in earnest, “assigned sex at birth”, you have left sanity far behind, receding fast in the distance. While it can be argued that medical care may be inappropriate in some circumstances, the fact is that one in a few thousand births results in sexual ambiguity of some sort. Often, the parents consulting with their doctors makes an educated guess and use surgery to "correct" any abnormality. Sometimes they guess "wrong". Other times, the ambiguity isn't apparent until later in life. And some people simply don't fit into a binary sex but are often pushed into a binary gender role. so, seriously, why are you in favor of this mutilation of children? Not the 1 in a billion "ambiguity" but the perfectly normally formed children who are being brainwashed into thinking that they are the opposite gender. What is it about this child abuse that appeals to you?
IMHO if someone over that age of 18 chooses to mutilate their body because of this mental illness I don't see a place for the government in that decision. They should pay for it themselves, the medical mutilation should not be paid for by taxpayers. But this decision by an adult is not the governments business. But any adult causing a child to be sexually mutilated should go to jail, no exceptions. There is no mention of any "Georges et. al." in the linked article.
Very few of the cases of "gender dysphoria" involve any actual physical or genetic ambiguity. To the extend children or adolescents feel they do not fit the traditional sexual binary, indulging that feeling is rarely the way to the best outcome for that confusion. And it is doubtful life altering hormones or surgery administered to a minor is ever the best course. Any parent subjecting their child to drug OR mutilation before puberty needs to be incarcerated and loose all legal links to the child. They require psychiatric care rather than parenthood.
OneGuy: so, seriously, why are you in favor of this mutilation of children?
That's not our position, but the misrepresentation of the authors' argument, which is against government intervention. OneGuy: Not the 1 in a billion "ambiguity" One in several thousand have observable ambiguities, such as androgen insensitivity syndrome, which affects about 1 in 10,000 people. James: There is no mention of any "Georges et. al." in the linked article. Briggs infantilizes the authors as Emily, Emily, and Rachael, instead of Drs. Georges, Brown, & Cohen. James: Very few of the cases of "gender dysphoria" involve any actual physical or genetic ambiguity. That may be a better argument, though you would have to quantify the claim. But Briggs argues that this is never the case. James: To the extend children or adolescents feel they do not fit the traditional sexual binary, indulging that feeling is rarely the way to the best outcome for that confusion. And it is doubtful life altering hormones or surgery administered to a minor is ever the best course. It's best if people can accept who they are for what they are. Nor is surgery necessarily the cure. But keep in mind that genital surgery is often performed on infants because of "incorrect" or ambiguous development. Regardless, that doesn't salvage Briggs' argument, which is based on a false statement of the facts. Quibble-DickZ have no problem with mutilating children.
Joe Biden has nothing to offer voters other than anti-Trump hysteria... Joe Obama and the continuing resolution have a lot of debt to show for their Cloward-Piven debacle. The uniparty is destructive to the republic.
The elite are preparing for disease X. All we know about disease X is that it has a near 100% kill rate. In China they took a virus from the pangolin and injected it into mice whose DNA had altered with human DNA. It mutated into a disease that would kill all the mice with human DNA. This would be so funny, so stupidly ridiculous to try to pass off as real if we hadn't just been through the trial run. According to the conspirators the vaccine has already been developed and awaiting the "accidental" release of the virus. Tell me if I were telling you this in 2019 you would be laughing your ass off. I get it. It is the stupidest conspiracy theory you ever heard... except for that Covid thing. Why did they release oops, I meant accidently release Covid? Why was there a vaccine available so quickly? Why did our government, in retrospect and now that so much of the facts have come out, do everything wrong in their attempt to slow the spread? LOL ! Why are the WEF at Davos preparing for the next China flu from Pangolins? And why does the WEF keep having meetings on how to reduce the world population from 8 billion to 500 million? No worries! You all still have your cloth masks, right? Remember the magical six feet too.
Anon: Why was there a vaccine available so quickly?
Oh, oh , oh! Nowadays, it only takes days to sequence a virus, and then just a few more days to transcribe the appropriate sequence from one of the surface proteins to mRNA. Interesting! Usually you have a point by point rebuttal. I can only conclude that you don't disagree with anything I said except that vaccines can indeed be created quickly. Hmmm.
Anon: I can only conclude that you don't disagree with anything I said except that vaccines can indeed be created quickly.
That is incorrect. While you made a variety of assertions for which you gave no evidence, you based your position, in part, on the false assertion concerning vaccines. That should cause you to reconsider at least some of your understanding. If not, then it would indicate that facts do not guide your position. |
